Description: Plan, develop, schedule and implement the remedial reading (and sometimes remedial math) educational program for students identified with such needs; evaluate and revise the programs as appropriate; actively involved in student, colleague and parent communications and relations

Essential Functions:

Peak Potential Therapy is seeking caring, dependable, and fun-loving individuals to work as a Behavior Technician (BT) with kids with special needs under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Peak Potential Therapy has multiple openings for BTs to provide appropriate academic, behavioral and emotional support to clients with disabilities or behaviors. A BT with Peak Potential Therapy is a one-on-one instructor responsible for the day-to-day teaching and implementation of the client's academic and behavior programs. Peak Potential Therapy's programming is based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). All RBTs must be trained in these principles and are expected to implement them throughout client sessions.
No training or certification (RBT & CPR) required upon hire, but necessary to start working. All Behavior Technicians (BTs) are required to obtain the RBT certification within 30-days of hire. Assistance is provided for obtaining the RBT certification.
Multiple shifts (part and full-time) are available between 8:00 am to 7:00 pm daily. Most of the hours will be at our therapy center in Northfield, OH. However, we do serve families in their home, school, or community in the greater Cleveland - Akron communities.

As a Tutor at Sylvan, your primary responsibilities are:
Just Teaching. No Lesson Plans. No Preparation.
As a part-time Sylvan Tutor, you will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a small group setting. You will provide personalized instruction in Reading, Writing, and Math to students of all levels.
Locations:
We are currently hiring at our Lima, Wapakoneta, and Delphos Locations
Tutor Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred; Teaching Credential recommended -or- currently pursuing a degree in Education.
You must enjoy teaching, working, and inspiring students. (We want you to be happy here!)
Being punctual is extremely important. You must be local and have reliable transportation.
What you should know:
You will use pre-planned lessons. They are straightforward, easy to manage, and fun to teach.
Teach students in a small group setting.
We require a minimum of two days a week with Friday and Saturday rotations during the school year.
We are open for instruction weekday afternoons (M-R 4-8pm and F 4-6pm), Saturday mornings (school year only).
