Duties
During the course of their careers, Secret Service Police carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral. Exceptions may apply for those with current or prior service in federal law enforcement positions covered by special retirement provisions. The Secret Service has determined that age is essential to the performance of this position.
Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.
Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.

Education: Candidates must be high school graduates or holders of a high school equivalency diploma issued by an education department.
Citizenship: Candidates must be citizens of the United States at time of appointment.
License: Possession of a valid New York State driver's license at time of appointment.
Physical: Candidates must meet the prescribed general physical and medical conditions as stated in the
Municipal Police Training Council standards. The physical requirements are removed for provisional candidates with former law enforcement experience and a valid basic police officer certificate, although a standard pre-employment physical is still required.
Psychological: Psychiatric and Polygraph examinations may be required of any successful candidate prior to appointment.
Moral Character: Candidates must be of a good moral character with no conviction of a felony. Conviction of a misdemeanor or other offense including traffic violation may bar appointment.

Syracuse Parking Services, LLC is seeking a part-time Parking Enforcement Officer to play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of parking spaces, managing violations, and contributing to a positive parking experience for all customers.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular patrols of assigned parking lots in Downtown Syracuse to monitor compliance with parking regulations.
Issue parking violation warnings and vehicle boots for unauthorized vehicles.
Educate and inform vehicle owners about parking regulations and the consequences of violations.
Maintain accurate records of issued citations, including the date, time, and nature of the violation.
Prepare and submit daily reports on enforcement activities and notable incidents.
Respond to inquiries and resolve disputes related to parking violations in a professional and courteous manner.
Coordinate with towing services when necessary to address more serious violations or security concerns.
Maintain and care for all company issued equipment.

Previous experience in parking enforcement, security, or a related field is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to professionally and calmly handle challenging situations with customers.
Must be physically able to bend, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to interpret company policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
