Job overview and responsibilities:
The Dispatcher is responsible for joint operational control with the Pilot in Command to ensure the safe, legal, and efficient operation of United Airlines flights in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and Company Manuals. The successful candidate possesses strong organizational skills and is detail oriented. Additionally, strong written and verbal communication skills accompanied by a high work ethic are a must.
* Prepares the flight release
* Monitors flight progress
* Analyzes and disseminates meteorological information, reviews maintenance limitations and calculates the amount of fuel required for safe flight
* Updates the pilot in command of significant changes to the flight plan and provides assistance during irregular and emergency situations

Qualifications

* High school diploma, GED or education equivalent

The Senior Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Swagelok-owned aircraft while providing the highest levels of customer service to passengers. Additionally, the Senior Captain will assist with trip planning as well as Flight Operation's administrative tasks and projects.
**Scope of Position:**
The Senior Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operations as PIC on both a Gulfstream G600 and G280. The Senior Captain reports directly to the Aviation Operations Manager and has the final authority in the operation of the aircraft to ensure compliance with all domestic and foreign regulations that affect the flight and compliance with all policies and procedures specified in the company flight operations manual. In addition to flight duties, the Senior Captain will be expected to manage and assist others with Flight Operations support programs and projects. Time spent on travel may be up to 50%.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Act as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) or second-in-command (SIC) of a Gulfstream G600 and G280.
+ Provide the highest levels of adaptive and conscientious customer service to passengers.
+ Participate and contribute to the growth of Flight Operation's Safety Management System (SMS).
+ Supervise other crewmembers in duties necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the company aircraft.

+ Maintain regulatory and company training currency and competency in all assigned aircraft.

**Position Requirements:**
FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license, type rating in the Gulfstream G600 and/or G280 (with 500 hours in either type preferred), 2500 hours total time, 1000 hours Pilot-in-Command, 1000 hours turbine, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, current FAA First Class Medical Certificate, current U.S. passport, current U.S. driver's license, COVID-19 vaccination and no restrictions on international travel, International Flight Procedures training. Must be willing to live within one hour drive of Swagelok hangar.
**Preferred Piloting Qualifications:**
International piloting experience in Europe, South America and Asia.
**Skills and Knowledge:**
Demonstrate extensive knowledge of aircraft, operations and methods, preferably obtained by working at a corporate flight department that operates multiple, long-range international aircraft. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work as a team member, and manage/lead teams during complex projects and resolve conflict. This position requires highly developed abilities in problem solving and decision-making involving safety critical activities. Position requires high degree of computer literacy, aircraft technical library familiarity, and a high degree of understanding and skill-sets to mitigate risk.

Cardinal Point Captains, Inc. (CPC) is seeking a captain to provide vessel support to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) in Muskegon, Michigan. GLERL operates a fleet of vessels ranging from 12'-85' in length on the Great Lakes.
A qualified person is required to safely and efficiently operate and maintain the NOAA research vessels and NOAA shore and supporting facilities. CPC is looking for an experienced boat handler with an interest in supporting the field of marine sciences (oceanographic missions, hydrographic missions, general research missions, etc.) around the Great Lakes. Our ideal candidate will not only be a capable boat handler but also well versed in maintenance of small boats. For this particular role, the captain must have an active USCG Master license of 50 tons or above.
Though our posted job location is Muskegon, MI, we are able to hire a person who lives in the Great Lakes region and is willing to travel to Muskegon and different project locations around the Great Lakes. The field season, from April through October, tends to be a lot of travel to locations such as Beaver Island, MI, Alpena, MI, Sheboygan, WI, Bay City, MI, and other sites to support the NOAA GLERL mission.
Tasks
Ensure the safe navigation and mechanical operation of the vessel in which assigned, at all times, in accordance with all NOAA and USCG regulations.
Ensure all procedures and engineering practices are in compliance with the current and appropriate regulating authorities' such as Code of Federal Regulations (CFR); American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC); NOAA Small Boat Program (SBP); and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).
Coordinate and support emergent repairs to GLERL small boat assets if and when required. Provide oversight during shipyard and repair periods. Help coordinate engineering work requiring certified technician assistance from engineering contractors, naval architects, electricians, and marine surveyors if required.
Operate deck equipment including A frame, scientific winch, capstan, boat crane, Nitrox dive air compressor and small skiff.
Document all vessel-related activities in the ship's Log.
Be ready and available for emergency responses.
Be willing and able to travel to sites around the Great Lakes.
Requirements
Required certifications and experience
Possess an active USCG license (50 tons or above). No candidates will be considered for this position without a 50-ton license or above.
Current First Aid, CPR and AED certifications
2+ years of experience operating vessels as a captain/master or operator-in-charge.
Ability to work collegially with scientists, natural resources managers, and educators.
Experience operating overhead load handling equipment such as winches, cranes, A-Frames, and small cranes.
Experience with deployment and recovery of scientific equipment, divers, and vessel skiff using A frame, oceanographic winch, capstan and boat crane
Experience performing maintenance tasks on marine engine and systems; engineering/mechanical background and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of current U.S. Coast Guard inland and International navigation rules
Physically able to lift and carry 75 pounds to assist with mission mobilization and maintenance
Physically able to work in confined machinery spaces and in remote and rugged offshore environments.

(CPC) is seeking a captain to provide vessel support to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) in Muskegon, Michigan. GLERL operates a fleet of vessels ranging from 12'-85' in length on the Great Lakes.
A qualified person is required to safely and efficiently operate and maintain the NOAA research vessels and NOAA shore and supporting facilities. Vessel personnel assignments, and cruise requirements are detailed by the GLERL Marine Superintendent based upon mission requirements, and vessel maintenance.
CPC is looking for a captain with experience with missions in the field of marine sciences (oceanographic missions, hydrographic missions, general research missions, etc.). Our ideal candidate will not only be a capable boat handler but also well versed in maintenance of small boats.
Tasks
Ensure the safe navigation and mechanical operation of the vessel in which assigned, at all times, in accordance with all NOAA and USCG regulations.
Ensure all procedures and engineering practices are in compliance with the current and appropriate regulating authorities' such as Code of Federal Regulations (CFR); American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC); NOAA Small Boat Program (SBP); and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).
Exercise prudent judgment at all times. Be willing, able, and capable of responding to shipboard emergencies and actively participate in drills.
Coordinate and support emergent repairs to GLERL small boat assets if and when required. Provide oversight during shipyard and repair periods. Help coordinate engineering work requiring certified technician assistance from engineering contractors, naval architects, electricians, and marine surveyors if required.
Verify cruise and float plans and communicate with the shore-side point of contact frequently when underway.
Conduct the vessel pre-departure checklist, hold a safety briefing for all embarked personnel at the start of every cruise day, and ensure that all safety procedures are understood and adhered to while underway.
Operate deck equipment including A frame, scientific winch, capstan, boat crane, Nitrox dive air compressor and small skiff.
Document all vessel-related activities in the ship's Log.
Be ready and available for emergency responses.

Qualifications
Required certifications and experience
Possess an active USCG license (100 tons or above). No candidates will be considered for this position without a 100-ton license or equivalent.
Current Frist Aid, CPR and AED certifications
2+ years of experience working on NOAA vessels, or similar research or law enforcement vessels with scientific personnel embarked. This job requires captains who have experience not just as boat captains, but specifically as captains for science-based missions.
Ability to work collegially with scientists, natural resources managers, and educators.
Experience operating overhead load handling equipment such as winches, cranes, A-Frames, and small cranes.
Experience with deployment and recovery of scientific equipment, divers, and vessel skiff using A frame, oceanographic winch, capstan and boat crane
Experience performing maintenance tasks on marine engine and systems; engineering/mechanical background and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of current U.S. Coast Guard inland and International navigation rules
Working knowledge of FCC marine radio licensing requirements and operations procedures, including marine distress communications
Physically able to lift and carry 75 pounds to assist with mission mobilization and maintenance
Physically able to work in confined machinery spaces and in remote and rugged offshore environments.
Highly desired skills and experience
Knowledge and experience with Great Lakes' coastlines
Experience driving/following transect lines at low speed, especially for hydrographic surveying
