What you'll do on a typical day:
Drive a tractor in and around the site or on public roads, moving multiple styles of trailers
Inspect tractor/yard truck before and after the shift
Maneuver tractor/trailer safely throughout the facility within the designated lanes and areas
Maintain housekeeping within assigned tractor/trailer and defined areas
Inspect trailers to be moved to verify condition
Work safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices

Responsibilities:
As a Transport Driver you will drive a tanker truck (11,400 gallon capacity) to pick up propane at the supply point (e.g. refinery, pipeline terminal, storage facility) and deliver it to area AmeriGas facilities. The driver will make four to five pick-ups and deliveries per day, driving an average of 500 miles per day and working up to 14 hours per day. Approximately 80 percent of the driver's time is spent driving or waiting in line at the supply point. Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Drive the tanker truck to pick up propane at the refinery and deliver to area AmeriGas facilities; approximately 45 minutes is required to load or unload the truck.
• Attach terminal hoses to the truck connections to pump propane into the tanker.
• Use permanent hoses attached to the filling ports or the hoses stored in the truck to unload the tanker. The hoses stored on the truck come in two sizes: 20 feet long, three inches in diameter; and 19 feet long, 1½ inches in diameter.
• Perform twice daily truck inspections.
• May climb ladders at some AmeriGas facilities to check gauges at the top of the bulk tanks.

JOB SUMMARY
The Driver Student Transport- utilizes a van to transport students over scheduled routes to and from school and other special excursions; ensures the vehicle of operation is in safe operating condition; and ensures the safety of students during transport, loading, and unloading from the van.
Work schedule will generally be 10-20 hours per week on weekdays: 2-4 hours between 6:00 am and 10:00 am and 2-3 hours between 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm.

Conduct emergency evacuation drills as mandated by state standards to ensure efficiency of procedures and compliance with mandated requirements

POSITION SCOPE
The Hazmat Truck Driver is a safety sensitive position responsible for transporting hazardous materials to the job site and signing out the materials. The drivers will be exposed to different situations and equipment in performing their assigned task. They will be responsible for maintaining their assigned equipment. Drivers will be required to travel overnight to job sites throughout Utah and in some cases out-of-state. During overnight travel Drivers will earn an additional $25 per diem - per workday.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Loads and unloads tankers with hazardous materials, both bulk and various package styles adhering to all Company and DOT regulations
Operates bulk tanker trucks according to Company policies and state/federal laws
