What You'll Do:
You will drive our rental vehicles between on the road, to/from our various rental locations, maintenance facilities and other lots at the direction of management, depending on the location, all while following our processes and driving our cars safely.
As a Pick Your Shift employee, you'll begin with a scheduled, paid onboarding session where you'll meet the team and get introduced to Avis Budget Group. During your onboarding, you will complete role-specific online learning and in-person skill assessments, giving you the tools to be successful in your role. Once you've completed onboarding and training, you'll be ready to start selecting the shifts that work best for you.

Key Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently transport heavy construction equipment across the island
Operate a variety of trailers including lowboys, flatbeds, and step-decks
Load and unload machinery, ensuring proper placement and securement using chains, binders, and straps
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain safety checklists
Keep the truck clean and in good working order, reporting any issues immediately
Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage, and delivery documentation
Coordinate closely with dispatchers, yard managers, and field crews for timely pickups and drop-offs
Follow all DOT, company, and jobsite-specific safety requirements
Minimum Requirements
Valid CDL Class A License with no restrictions
Minimum 2 years of experience operating tractor-trailers
Comfortable driving manual transmissions (10-, 13-, or 18-speed)
Solid understanding of load securement best practices
Strong safety record and clean driving history
Dependable transportation to and from the yard or dispatch site
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience hauling heavy machinery or equipment
Familiarity with Oahu roadways, routes, and job site delivery procedures
Experience working on active construction sites
