About the Role Manufacturing careers that offer more: The Primient Process Operator role is not your typical factory job. There is some manual labor but you are not just standing on a line or doing simple repetitive tasks. Process Operator - the need to know You will help to ensure the safe operation of our process through a highly automated, state-of-the-art system. We put a strong focus on safety - it is always front of mind. Your role will involve climbing stairs and ladders and working in warm and cold temperatures. Manual labor is not the main part of the job, but you do need to lift and carry up to 55 lbs at times Ability to obey all safety rules and identify and correct potential safety problems. Ability to work both in a team environment and individually as required. Proficient written and verbal communication skills Proficient computer skills, Microsoft office tools and excel. Follow SOP's and/or PM task instruction sets. Communicate with production prior to starting job and when job is completed. Ability to clearly communicate this information to team members. Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of basic processing equipment (pumps, control valves, tanks, heat exchangers (plate and frame / shell and tube), centrifuges, ion exchange, activated carbon beds, filtration equipment, evaporators, crystallizers, dryers, classification systems, packaging systems and process analytical devices (pressure, pH, temperature, conductivity, etc.) Perform routine work permitting as scheduled. Perform area lab analytical analysis (titrations, density measurements, process sampling as needed) Troubleshoot lab equipment as issues present themselves. Troubleshoot equipment/systems as required. Identify and implement solutions to recurring equipment problems. Communicate and complete detailed logs for shiftily items taking place. Assist I&E technicians and mechanics as needed / as asked. Must be able to identify the need for, and request engineering/vendor assistance as required. Communicate and work with other groups (process engineers, production technicians, quality control) as necessary to promote efficiency in problem solving and work scheduling. Required to clean up after jobs are completed / perform housekeeping as required in the area. Familiarize product, steam and airflows though out the area. Perform Lock out Tag out and work permitting for all work being completed in area. This is a 365/24/7 Operating Plant - requiring weekends and holidays. Production Operator E Job, Toledo, OH Arclin USA is looking for a Production Operator E for our [Toledo, OH] facility. Reporting into the Production Supervisor, this position is an entry level, full time position, and Operator is responsible for performing tasks and duties pertaining to the manufacturing and processing of resins and formaldehyde. This role is required to know and perform all assigned production department functions in compliance with HSE - Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and Arclin's policies and procedures to contribute positively to an efficient and safely run operation. Starting Wage: $27.40/hr Production Operator E Job Responsibilities: Manufactures resin and formaldehyde and/or related surfaces according to established procedures and HSE regulations. The Chemical Processing Operator I handles, packages, and disposes of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in full compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations. The incumbent collaborates with TSDF (Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility) Technicians in various environments, including warehouses, plants, and outdoor settings. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Handles, classifies, segregates, labels, and packages hazardous and non-hazardous materials in accordance with federal and State regulations. Segregates chemicals by compatibility and DOT Hazard class. Determines which chemicals can be safely packed/consolidated together. Performs consolidation of hazardous materials/waste (i/e/, bulking, repackaging) in a safe and compliant manner. Prepares shipping documents and coordinates transportation of chemical products and hazardous waste materials. Approves packing slips for outbound, creates inventories, QA/QC, and waste tracking documents. Fosters knowledge of final disposition facility protocols. Mentors new hire entry-level chemists on standard operating procedures and provides initial training. Performs other related duties as assigned. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of applicable DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations preferred Ability to wear and safely use all levels of personal protective equipment (PPE), including air-purifying respirators Demonstrated accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize, stay focused, and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities. Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Physical, Drug Screen, and Alcohol testing. Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Background Screening. Experience in hazardous waste classification, lab pack segregation, and waste handling preferred. Key Responsibilities PVD Furnace Operation * Load and unload fixtures with product into PVD coating furnaces. * Verify product setup and ensure all components are properly prepared and clean. * Enter product weights, coating-cycle data, and required parameters into computer systems. * Start, monitor, and document coating processes.
