POSITION DETAILS
Coordinates incoming correspondence from various sources to ensure patient information is being communicated to the appropriate department.
Monitors the incoming fax queue and office mail daily and distributes incoming correspondence to the appropriate representative/department.
Creates new accounts and updates information on existing accounts into the electronic medical record (EHR).
Notifies all appropriate departments of changes to a patient's care needs which may include: notifying the Admissions team of urgent needs; creating tasks and emailing information to the clinical teams.
Ensures faxes are pulled into the correct location and system for DME or IV.
Greets and assists internal and external customers and staff through the Customer Service help desk, phone calls, email or face to face encounters.
Works with referral partners to navigate and locate supporting documentation for new admissions within the EHR.
Assists local teams with monitoring and distributing of documentation tasks and help desk requests.
Maintains compliance with HIPAA and PHS requirements regarding internal and external EHR access.
On-call duties/rotation may be required based on business need.

REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Exceptionally organized, multi-tasking, problem solving and communication and strong keyboard skills. A high level of initiative combined with a customer service mentality is also required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety roles, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
