The Pharmacist is a licensed professional who provides safe and optimal comprehensive patient care. The Pharmacist ensures federal, state, and local requirements, including all standards required by regulatory bodies such as The Joint Commission, are met. The Pharmacist will perform medication management activities including analyzing, verification, monitoring, compounding, and dispensing. The Pharmacist will serve as the medication management expert by providing accurate drug information to providers, nurses, and other clinical staff. The individual will supervise technicians during the shift and assist with training/education for pharmacy staff. It is expected that the Pharmacist will collaborate with colleagues and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff. Additional duties may include quality and performance improvement activities or others as determined by Pharmacy Leadership. As a successful candidate, you will: * Support and promote the efforts of all care providers to deliver quality care. * Promote the delivery of quality care consistent with the scope of practice of the discipline. * Ensure self-competence and promotes adherence to professional practice standards through education, training, coaching and monitoring. * Participate with the Director and managers in the implementation and evaluation of new services/programs. * Supervise personnel and personally delivers pharmaceutical care and service/ information/ medication/ products by serving as a role model and through effective use of change-agent strategies. * Supervision of Pharmacy Technician to ensure compliance with cleanroom standards, accuracy of medication inventory and accuracy of IV compounded products. * Keep up-to-date with USP 797 & 800 guidelines and work with interdisciplinary team to ensure compliance. * Maintain Pharmacy Technician IV compounding annual competencies. * Effectively communicates/educates all customers to meet organizational goals and customer service expectations. * Maintain current knowledge, skills and competencies through involvement in professional continuing education activities. * Manage/supervise the efficient and effective utilization of resources and staff (technicians, students, interns, etc.) and serves as a role model in training programs. * Fosters involvement in performance improvement activities to promote continuous improvement in care delivery. * Demonstrates assimilation of core organizational values within own performance. * Monitor drug therapy; recommends alternate more efficient drug therapy when appropriate. * Prepare and dispense medications in strict adherence to department policies and procedures. The Clinical Social Worker III (hereinafter "CSW III") holds a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW), maintains active registration as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and provides medical social work services. The CSW III is responsible for employing a model of patient care that focuses on providing patients/caregivers with supportive counseling, psychosocial assessments, therapeutic interventions, education, and community resource support information. The CSW III provides mentorship to MSWs in collaboration with social work management. Your qualifications should include: * PhD, MD, or MD/PhD, with a strong background and profound knowledge in the field of oncology, cancer biology, immunology, or immunotherapy. * Prior molecular, cancer biology, and/or translational research experience and evidence of project development and supervision of post-doctoral fellows and technical staff. * Evidence of scientific rigor and excellence as documented by high-impact peer-reviewed publications, as a first/lead author. * Evidence for obtaining successful funding from various foundations or other extramural resources. * Documented evidence of mentoring post-docs, research associates, and others in a research laboratory environment. A postdoctoral scientist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Xiaolan Deng at City of Hope. Our group is interested in discovering novel genetic and epigenetic regulations and deciphering their underlying molecular mechanisms in normal developmental processes and tumorigenesis. We cover research areas with relevance to RNA Biology, Cancer Biology, Chromatin Regulation, Cancer Epigenetics, Epigenetics Regulation, Cancer Metabolism, Immunology, Drug Discovery, Development, and Structural Biology, with an emphasis on RNA epigenetics/epitranscriptomics (RNA modifications) and RNA-based therapeutics.
