City of Lewisville company history timeline
Since the town was incorporated in 1925, Lewisville has had six mayors.
An incorporation election was held in 1925, which established Lewisville as an official city.
Located in front of Lewisville City Hall, The Old Well House was built circa 1927.
The City of Lewisville continued to thrive, and by 1950, the population had grown to 1,500 people.
The Assembly of God Church organized about fourteen years ago, was located in the north part of town until 1952 when a modern church was built in the Dick addition to Lewisville.
The Lewisville Masonic Lodge Number 201 AF and AM, which will celebrate its one hundredth anniversary January 23, 1957, held its meetings in the upstairs of the building and the lower floor was used for the first public school in this area.
Lewisville officially incorporated in 1991 and today is one of the fastest growing communities in Forsyth County with almost 13,000 residents.
