What to expect?
CDL Drivers make safe, complete, accurate and on-time deliveries to customers while complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) and other applicable regulations.
On a daily basis our drivers:
Make deliveries using the most effective route to ensure orders are delivered on time.
Load and unload the vehicle, ensuring that all products are properly secured, and hazardous material is separated appropriately.
Collect payments and accurately document delivery.
Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)).
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and inform supervisor of any maintenance needed.
Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and presentable on a daily basis.
Increase job and product knowledge on an ongoing basis.
Perform other duties as assigned.
To drive for POOLCORP you need:
To be at least 21 years old.
A valid Class A or B commercial driver's license with HAZMAT endorsement.

Monitor vehicle during operation and report maintenance/repair requirements to Dispatcher.
Secure loads being transported to ensure safe and undamaged arrival at destination.
Report and receive direction via radio or cellular phone.
Assist in loading and unloading of material transported.
Must be able to hook up and/or disconnect tractor-trailer combination vehicles.
Maintain driver log according to ICC regulations.
Perform daily preventive maintenance adjustments to truck.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
Must have High School Diploma or GED (May substitute experience for education on a year-by-year basis).
Must be able to obtain license to use any equipment for which a current license is not held within 30 days of selection.
Minimum six months general experience.
Minimum of six months specific experience demonstrating knowledge required to perform duties of position.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including, Word, Excel, Access and E-mail business software. Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a Team. Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.
Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention for detail.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must have valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Security Clearance:
Position requires U.S. Citizenship, a United States Government background check and may require a U.S. Government SECRET Clearance.
If SECRET Clearance Level is required, candidate must also:
Must have a current United States Government SECRET level security clearance or be able to successfully obtain the required clearance.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must also be able to maintain a US Government SECRET clearance.
