The Mission Critical Transport Driver will deliver fuel to commercial and government customers while providing exceptional customer service. Foster Fuel Drivers are responsible and required to ensure their equipment is properly maintained and all records and reports required for DOT and Corporate compliance are met. DUTIES Drives Class A or B truck to pick up and deliver fuel products in the local markets. Delivers fuel into a variety of tanks such as vehicles, underground storage tanks, above ground storage tanks, and portable fuel tanks. Conducts pre-trip and post trip inspections of equipment for defects and safe operation conditions before and after trips, when stopped during the workday and submits a daily vehicle inspection report at the end of each day. Performs basic preventive maintenance such as checking and maintaining appropriate fluid levels, replacing light bulbs and batteries, changing oil, and checking tire pressure. Uses tablet to record fuel deliveries, enter time and records cargo data in a safely in timely manner while completing assigned deliveries. OUR BUS DRIVER POSITION The primary purpose of our Bus Driver position is to drive the bus and perform activities related to the transportation and safety of residents on trips. Posted: 10/2/2024 LOCATION This position is based at Ring House, located at 1801 E Jefferson St in Rockville, Maryland SHIFTS & STATUS This is a Full-Time position, additional hours may be required based on community needs. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES class="CxSpMiddle"> Drive residents on scheduled shopping trips and to cultural and social events. class="CxSpMiddle"> Assist with getting packages on and off the bus. class="CxSpMiddle"> Escort residents on trips, as needed, from the point they disembark to their return to the bus. class="CxSpMiddle"> Maintain vehicle to provide a clean and safe environment for passengers. class="CxSpMiddle"> Fill diesel tank if it is less than 1/4 full. Check oil, fluids weekly. Log fuel receipts including mileage, date, amount of fuel and cost. class="CxSpMiddle"> Provide emergency bus transportation to staff and/or residents in the process of evacuating the building. class="CxSpMiddle"> Report any deviations in bus function to the Transportation Coordinator, including safety issues or broken parts to be repaired. class="CxSpMiddle"> Keep attendance sheets during scheduled trips. Complete daily log sheet. class="CxSpMiddle"> Disseminate and collect customer satisfaction questionnaires on specifically designated trips. class="CxSpMiddle"> Report incidents and problems with residents, as they arise. class="CxSpMiddle"> Assist with activity programming, as needed. class="CxSpMiddle"> Provide support staff functions for other departments, including phone answering and light clerical work. class="CxSpMiddle"> Pick up and drop off inter-departmental mail in the early morning and as needed. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent. Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. A valid Class C CDL license vehicle operator's permit and a clean driving record are required. Three (3) years of experience as a driver preferred. PRE-EMPLOYMENT/ONBOARDING POLICY As a dedicated provider to Senior Living Care our facility requires all hired associates to provide proof of vaccination records, including two doses of MMR, two doses of Varicella, and a Negative TB screen before the start of employment. Another source of documentation that can be accepted is a Titer or Lab test that expresses proven immunity to the following diseases.
