Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.

Perform pre-trip inspection per DOT requirements at the beginning of each shift, including checking all fuels, fluids and systems.
Keep the DOT required log current. Record all stops, including fueling and breaks.
Maintain and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as defined by each customer and delivery location.
Maintain the truck and trailer; keep clean and in proper working order.
Review all paperwork and the GPS to determine most efficient routing and loading of materials and equipment.
Secure all materials and equipment using DOT approved securement methods and procedures.
Safely deliver products to their destination. Safely unload and familiarize the customer with the operation of the equipment.
Get required signatures on paperwork before leaving site.
Ensure vehicle is parked and secured at the end of the day, and all paperwork is processed according to company policies and procedures by the end of each shift.
Note and advise your supervisor of any deficiencies in the equipment that need correction prior to vehicle being used for the next shift.
Qualifications
Class A or Class B Commercial Drivers' License
1-2 years documented commercial driving

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CLASS A LOWBOY TRUCK DRIVER
In this construction position, you are the person that our company counts on to move our equipment from job to job. To transport equipment, you drive a lowboy to our worksites. You load each machine onto your truck, chain it down, and then move to a new location. You also run the dump trailer and transport materials, such as stone from site to site. This position can be dual purpose where you drive dump trucks or other Class B licensed vehicles. You enjoy being on the move each day instead of being stuck in an office!
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of prior experience
Class A CDL
Clean driving record

Responsibilities
Perform pre-trip inspection per DOT requirements at the beginning of each shift, including checking all fuels, fluids and systems.
Keep the DOT required log current. Record all stops, including fueling and breaks.
Maintain and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as defined by each customer and delivery location.
Maintain the truck and trailer; keep clean and in proper working order.
Review all paperwork and the GPS to determine most efficient routing and loading of materials and equipment.
Secure all materials and equipment using DOT approved securement methods and procedures.
Safely deliver products to their destination. Safely unload and familiarize the customer with the operation of the equipment.
Get required signatures on paperwork before leaving site.
Ensure vehicle is parked and secured at the end of the day, and all paperwork is processed according to company policies and procedures by the end of each shift.
Note and advise your supervisor of any deficiencies in the equipment that need correction prior to vehicle being used for the next shift.
Qualifications
Class A or Class B Commercial Drivers' License
1-2 years documented commercial driving
Knowledge of the safe use and operation of trucks, trailers and other vehicles.
Knowledge of D.O.T. and D.M.V. Rules and Regulations, preferred
Reasonable written and verbal Communication skills.
Ability to lift and move up to 80 pounds.
Ability to occasionally work outside in extreme outdoor conditions.
