    SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Housekeeper for a large, well-known client in Memphis, TN. As a housekeeper for SURESTAFF you will be an essential part of our client's core operations. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation $15/hr. as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include: 2nd and 3rd shift (Monday- Friday) Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis Housekeeper duties and Responsibilities: Clean rooms, restrooms, and other workspaces of the organization while keeping the prescribed health and hygiene standards. Ensure perfect working of the tools and equipment employed to execute high quality work. Replenish restroom equipment, bed linens, and room accessories. Make beds and change bed sheets twice a day or between hospital guests. Use cleaners, and other equipment to dust, clean, glasses, mirrors, glass partitions, walls, furniture, house items, fixtures, mattresses, etc. Monitor the security of customers' belongings and safety of the delegated areas by sincerely conducting regular checks. Report found articles, thefts, including construction and electrical damage. Report to the supervisors and promptly respond to the housekeeping needs. Housekeeper Requirements and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Some professional work experience as custodian, janitor, or a similar role a plus Understanding of safety protocols such as disposal of chemicals and other hazardous items Detail-oriented and conscientiousness Able to work 8 hours on your feet and lift to 30 lbs. Responsibilities • Ensure adequate supply of housekeeping supplies is maintained in janitorial closet necessary to perform daily task. • Ensure that cleaning schedules are followed. • Ensure that department is maintained in a clean and safe manner. • Participate in staff development programs and staff meetings. • Carry out assignments in a prompt and efficient manner. • Ensure the use of appropriate personal protective equipment and supplies when handling infectious materials and/or hazardous wastes or chemicals. • Report immediately any work-related injury, occupational exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemical to the supervisor. • Follow established infection control procedures when performing duties. • Report immediately all grievances and complaints, all allegations of resident/patient abuse, neglect and/or misappropriation of resident/patient property, all incidents/accidents, no matter how minor, all unsafe/hazardous conditions or defective equipment, either by resident/patients or family to supervisor. • Maintain confidentiality of resident/patient and company information. • Treat all resident/patients fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect. • Comply with policies and procedures. • Adhere to work assignments. • Adhere to dress code. Specific Requirements • Must be able to read and write the English language. • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions concerning the mixing of laundry detergents and other liquids. • Must possess the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel. • Must possess flexibility. • Must demonstrate sensitivity to the special needs of resident/patients. Physical Requirements • Must be able to move about consistently throughout the workday. • Must be able to reach, bend, and/or stoop intermittently throughout the workday. • Must be able to walk/stand 75% of the day. • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry up to 50 pounds utilizing proper body mechanics and assistance. • Must be able to push, pull, or move a minimum of 100 pounds utilizing proper body mechanics and assistance. • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
