As a Summer Intern, you can expect your experience to include the following:
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, designers, and BIM leads to execute work on water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure projects.
Assist in the preparation of engineering and design deliverables including drawings, specifications, technical memoranda, reports, schedules, and figures.
Communicate effectively and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams (e.g., drafters, designers, engineers).
Perform edits and updates in Revit and AutoCAD models based on engineering changes and markups.
Participate in the full project lifecycle, including design, documentation, and construction support.
Conduct field work such as site investigations and construction observations as needed.
Support data-related tasks including entry, analysis, visualization, and documentation to inform design decisions.
Check design deliverables for consistency, readability, and adherence to standards and specifications.
Provide engineering services during construction, including performance checks and conformity assessments.

Complete an Internship Capstone project demonstrating skill development, learning, and accomplishments gained during the summer internship experience.

You must be enrolled for the 2025-2026 academic year and plan to continue in Fall 2026.

The Computational Modeling group in the BEST directorate at the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) is seeking an summer undergraduate or post-undergraduate research intern to perform computational modeling and data analysis to enable optimization and scale-up of catalytic bioenergy processes.
The intern will work closely with other computational scientists and experimentalists to perform, analyze, and validate simulations of biomass and other feedstocks undergoing catalytic and thermochemical conversion processes using process scale models.
Responsibilities include:
+ Performing simulations using high-fidelity Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and reduced order models of transport and reactive processes within catalytic reactor systems
+ Implementing kinetic schemes into reduced order models and performing optimization routines to fit kinetic parameters
+ Analyzing validation experiments
+ Programming scripts to analyze results from simulations
+ Providing regular written and oral progress updates at project meetings

Description of Job
The Program Manager will focus on managing the Innovative Housing Incentive Program (IHIP), partnering with the Colorado Housing Finance Authority to implement the Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Financing Program, supporting the implementation of Proposition 123 as it relates to the off-site construction industry, and other projects as assigned.
IHIP responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, building relationships with innovative housing manufacturers and industry stakeholders, promoting the program and advancing the broader innovative housing industry in Colorado, and managing the administrative duties including; program budget, application and award process, communications and documentation, policies, and procedures. The Program Manager is responsible for managing grant contracts, invoices, and reporting, and managing the IHIP and Prop 123 factory loans administrative contracts and reporting.
The Program Manager is also responsible for managing the ADU financing program administration contract and coordination with relevant state agencies. This includes reporting, coordinating state communication, and promoting and incentivizing the use of Colorado's innovative offsite manufacturing for new ADUs.
The Program Manager's duties may evolve over time as new housing-related programs are brought to OEDIT, and will assist with the development of new housing legislation that affects OEDIT and the off-site housing construction industry.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter, with an understanding of housing manufacturing and finance and experience with government contracts and program management. Description of Job
This position will manage the State's Enterprise Zone Program but will also contribute to other programs within the Business Funding & Incentives Division as needed. This position will also be responsible for interpreting statutes to design applications, program guidelines, Salesforce systems, and establishing and managing other foundational needs for the program, including drafting agreements with Enterprise Zone administrators. This will involve close collaboration with other members of the Business Funding & Incentives team, other OEDIT Divisions, the OEDIT procurement team, Commissioners on the Colorado Economic Development Commission, other State agencies, including the Department of Revenue and the Office of Information Technology (OIT), and external business partners and stakeholders.
Duties are as follows:
Communicate with applicants and the public to provide program information and support.
Develop, maintain, and improve program guides and webpages.
Work with the Salesforce and OIT teams and other relevant staff to maintain and update a functioning application system, database, and mapping tools.
Support local Enterprise Zone administrators in implementing the program through tools, information, regular meetings, and the Salesforce application system.
Establish and prioritize program-wide best practices and timelines for processing applications and responding to business requests.
Work with local Enterprise Zone administrators to promote the Enterprise Zone program.
Respond to legislative and public information requests under tight deadlines, including pulling reports and analyzing data.

Position Summary
The Public Safety Dispatcher serves as a highly skilled communications professional within the Lake County Emergency Communications Center. Annual Base Salary for newly appointed CBPOs varies as follows:
GS-9 $61,111 - $124,443 per year
Locality pay varies by duty location.
Note: A fully trained CBPO is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary.
Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency.

Qualifications:
You qualify for the GS-9 grade level in one of the following ways: experience, education, or a combination of both.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes:
Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods.
Enforcing the laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping to and from the United States.
Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats and perform risk assessments for violations of laws and threats to national security.
Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity for the purposes of gaining information from suspected violators of laws to determine the appropriate course of action.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Ability to make rapid, accurate judgments and decisions with respect to the application of the regulations, instructions, and procedures for importing and exporting merchandise to and from the United States; or enforcement and administration of laws relating to the right of persons to enter, reside in or depart from the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Education Substitution: A master's (or higher) degree, or two or more years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited college or university; OR
Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of specialized experience AND successfully completed graduate-level education. This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.
Other Requirements:
Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.
Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years.
Age Restriction: In accordance with Public Law 100-238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions. Candidates must be referred for selection to the Customs and Border Protection Officer position before reaching their 40th birthday in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Directive 251-03. The age restriction may not apply if you are currently serving or have previously served in a federal civilian law enforcement (non-military) position covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C. 8412(d).
Veterans' Preference: You may also be eligible for an excepted service Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA). The age restriction does not apply if you are Veterans' Preference eligible.
Formal Training: You will be required to complete a paid pre-academy orientation for approximately two (2) weeks at your home port. You will then attend a 101-day training program - CBP Field Operations Academy - conducted at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) located in Glynco, GA. This training consists of basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws, firearms training, examination of cargo/bags/merchandise, physical fitness, etc. Candidates assigned to the southern border, Miami, or Puerto Rico duty locations must attend and pass an online Spanish training program, which will be completed at their home port. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this position.
