What is a community health representative and how to become one
The primary duty of a community health representative is to observe and engage with their community on health-related issues. He/She is responsible for identifying the health concerns of the community and coordinating with officials and organizations to address these concerns. He/She facilitates health programs and activities within the community. This is done through outreach, enrollment assistance, and education activities. Besides that, he/she implements quality health services to maintain the welfare and stability of the community people. Additionally, he/she handles social promotions of sponsorships, donations, and charity events. This is to secure financial assistance for emergencies and outbreaks.
For this role, you must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent. You must have prior experience in a related role. You must possess critical thinking, communication, organization, observation, and computer skills. Community health representatives make an average salary of $45,094 per annum.
