Track quality metrics related to schedule, cost, and technical performance; analyze trends and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
Identify quality, safety, and environmental deficiencies and ensure timely corrective action without reliance on Government direction.
Support integration of safety and environmental requirements into test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting activities.
Maintain inspection logs, corrective action records, and compliance documentation.
Coordinate internally across task areas to ensure consistent application of quality and safety standards.
Interface with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), Government Technical Representatives (GTRs), and Test Officers (TOs) to support mission requirements and compliance expectations.
Support audits, inspections, performance surveillance, and reporting related to quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
Contribute to risk identification and mitigation efforts associated with test execution and contractor performance.

Coordinates the Ethics Committee meetings and Open Office Hour event logistics to include meal and beverage orders, required pre-approvals and required documentation for authorized expenditures as needed, flyers, sign-in sheets, facilities work orders, and audiovisual requests.
Serves as the designated backup for the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) and Institutional Animal Care Use Committee (IACUC).
Assists the Research Compliance Unit with processing and assigning training requests, as needed.
Remain current with all licensure, certifications, and mandatory compliance and training requirements for this position
Adhere to all policies, procedures, and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).
Personally demonstrate, display and act in accordance with TTUHSC EP's Values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Serve as a Value's leader while actively promoting and encouraging staff across the institution.

Administrative experience required.
Experience in a research setting preferred.
Ability to apply and interpret federal and state regulations related to research.
Knowledge of iRIS software system
Knowledge of University of Miami CITI program.
Knowledge of Excel databases.
Medical terminology coursework/experience preferred; Proficient in Spanish preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to use independent knowledge to analyze and prepare data for review; proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications as well as have the ability to learn and utilize new computer software programs
Excellent typing and transcription skills; excellent organizational and efficiency skills
Ability to work independently and to prioritize objectives; ability to maintain focus on multiple tasks within a short time frame; attention to detail; ability to read and understand technical and regulatory terminology and to efficiently convey key information to others; knowledge of federal and institutional requirements related to conflicts of interest in research
Ability to get along with administrators, faculty members, government officials, TTUHSC EP staff and students.
