Roles and Responsibilities: · Develop detailed architectural drawings, layouts, and designs for foodservice operations using CAD and REVIT software. · Collaborate with clients, architects, and project managers to determine design specifications and requirements. · Create 2D and 3D renderings to visualize concepts and aid in client presentations. · Ensure compliance with building codes, health and safety regulations, and ADA requirements. · Select and specify furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials suitable for restaurant environments. · Optimize kitchen, dining, and service areas for efficiency, functionality, and customer experience. · Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and suppliers throughout the design and construction phases. · Revise and update designs based on client feedback, project constraints, and regulatory requirements. · Stay up to date with industry trends, sustainable design practices, and emerging restaurant concepts. Quality Assurance & Compliance: · Ensure that all drawings comply with health, safety, and building codes. · Conduct quality control inspections for designs both peer reviews and self-reviews. · Maintain up-to-date knowledge of restaurant industry regulations and commercial kitchen design standards. Client & Stakeholder Communication: · Attend all required meetings as per project requirements · Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external clients, providing regular updates on project progress. · Address client concerns and ensure their vision is met throughout the design process. · Document project milestones, issues, and resolutions for reporting purposes. · Work with internal support team on estimation and construction. Budget & Cost Management: · Adhere to project timelines for billing purposes and capture time overruns · Understand and promote vendor partners · Adhere to client's budgetary requirements Qualifications: · Associate's degree in architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or a related field or equivalent work experience · Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. · Experience in restaurant, hospitality, or commercial design preferred. · Strong understanding of spatial planning, ergonomics, and food service operations. · Knowledge of local building codes, fire safety, and accessibility regulations. · Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. · Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. · Strong communication and presentation skills. · Knowledge of BIM management Requirements: · Occasional Travel · Must be able to lift over 50lbs · Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team · Requires ability to work in diverse environments, which may include long hours, weekend work, and being on-call for project emergencies.
