Lead and execute precast engineering and design tasks efficiently.

10 plus years of precast design experience in precast concrete design engineering for transportation infrastructure and underground structures (utility vaults, manholes, drainage structures and pump stations).
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered
Familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 350, ASCE-7, AASHTO
Familiarity with IBC codes a plus

Budget Title: Assistant Facilities Program Coordinator (SL-3)
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 (Commensurate with experience)
The Architectural Designer position is a salaried, professional position that provides design and construction administration of Campus projects while focusing on the Campus impacts and needs, project budgets, schedules, etc. The Designer works closely with other design professionals such as architects, engineers, designers, project coordinators and Campus customers to provide the best possible design within budget, while anticipating potential problems in an effort to minimize the negative impacts of Campus operations.
The selected candidate will be expected to work with licensed design professionals in a team environment; to identify a scope of work; prepare design concepts with construction cost estimates; complete the design with final construction documents (i.e. drawings and specifications); provide periodical review of construction progress; attend job meetings; answer requests for information submitted by the construction team.
Designers work closely with Campus customers to determine the project facility needs to provide the best possible facility within the budget allotted for the project. Their concentrated efforts focus on minimizing the negative impacts of construction on the operation of the Campus; anticipate potential problems while remaining proactive; maintain communication with all entities. Specific reviews are conducted with interested committees/groups on the Campus such as Services for Students with Disabilities, the Committee on the University Environment, etc. Designers/Project Coordinators are assigned design/coordination work in association with fellow Campus Design professionals- i.e. architectural scope will be assigned to selected candidate while other Design Team members provide mechanical, electrical, etc.

Ensure compliance with engineering standards, Workholding performance requirements, safety regulations, and ISO/AS quality systems.

Your Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineer / Designer position is a salaried, professional position that works with architects, engineers, designers, project coordinators and campus customers, on the design and construction of campus projects. This position focuses on the campus impacts, needs, project budgets and schedules. This successful candidate works closely with other design professionals to provide the best possible design, within budget, while anticipating potential problems, minimizing the negative impacts of construction on campus operation.
This Engineer / Designer would be expected to:
* Work with licensed design professionals in a team environment to identify a scope of work, prepare design concepts with construction cost estimates and complete the design with final construction documents (i.e. drawings and specifications)
* Review projects with a licensed professional for compliance with NYS Building Codes
* Represent Facilities Management when meeting with clients / customers and other members of the design team to identify a scope of work
* Manage projects throughout design and construction

The successful candidate will work with multidiscipline teams on a wide range of building projects providing structural design and analysis. As an entry level member of our structural team, you will work with our structural engineering group under a licensed Professional engineer to complete a variety of project tasks. What You'll Do as a Precast Design Engineer
Lead and execute precast engineering and design tasks efficiently.
Collaborate with project teams to deliver structurally sound, cost-effective, and visually appealing precast concrete designs.
Perform and review structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety under various loads and conditions.
Select materials and components for precast concrete production that meet strength, durability, and sustainability standards.
Create accurate drawings, plans, and specifications for precast projects aligned with industry design standards.
Support cost estimation for materials
Support Project Managers and Designers throughout the project lifecycle.
Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables.
Guide and mentor junior staff.

Requirements:
What You Bring, Your Expertise as a Precast Design Engineer
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, Master's preferred
5 -10 years minimum Precast concrete design engineering experience
Experience in precast concrete design engineering for transportation infrastructure and underground structures (utility vaults, manholes, drainage structures and pump stations) preferred
Familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 350, ASCE-7, AASHTO
Familiarity with IBC codes a plus
Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it
Proficiency in AutoCAD & RISA 3D

Electrical Designer II
Computer aided design designer job in Conklin, NY
The Electrical Designer II designs and drafts cost effective, manufacturable electromechanical equipment and systems. This role will translate engineering design concepts into practical, producible drawings.
Principal Accountabilities:
Confers with engineers and other designers to interpret design concepts, determines nature and type of required detailed drawings, and coordinates appropriate efforts.
Drafts detail and assembly drawings as well as electrical diagrams, using conventional instruments and computerized work aids and CAD design tools.
Analyzes specifications, sketches, engineering drawings and related design data to determine critical factors affecting components, based on knowledge of previous designs, manufacturing processes, and recognized design standards.
Prepares preliminary and final drawings adequate for manufacturing Universal equipment, and develops revisions to create practical design applications.
Works with manufacturing and procurement engineering during the design phase and during transition of engineering products to the manufacturing floor, to ensure that products can be produced efficiently.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate's degree or equivalent vocational training in drafting techniques.
3+ years of relevant CAD experience.
Relevant industry experience is preferred.
Responsibility for Quality Procedures or Direct Product Quality:
Adheres to Universal Quality System policies and procedures and uses Total Cycle Time principles and standard problem solving tools to continuously improve work processes.
