Essential Job Functions
• Create original textile patterns such as yarn dyes, jacquards, and embroidery designs based on Design Team's direction and trend research.

• Maintain accurate records of all textile designs and developments, including managing the CAD, print, and color libraries.

The AutoCAD Drafter is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software. This role supports applications engineering, by creating accurate and precise drawings for wind load applications, job shop drawings, part drawings and manufacturing assembly drawings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD software based on specifications and design requirements.
Create Certified Wind Load drawings for tested product.
Create part and assembly drawings.
Review and interpret technical sketches, blueprints, and specifications.
Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and project requirements.
Revise and update drawings as needed based on feedback or design changes.
Maintain organized records of part drawings and project documentation.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, sales and other team members to resolve design issues.
Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
Associate degree or certification in Drafting, CAD Design, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

What the Designer / Drafter Will Be Doing
• Create General Arrangement, Fabrication, and Assembly drawings using 2D and 3D CAD
• Develop production drawing packages from engineering handoff documents with minimal supervision
• Maintain parts, part numbers, descriptions, and specifications
• Manage Engineering Change tasks within PLM and ERP systems
• Generate drawing packages for production and service
• Interface with engineering, production, and purchasing teams for design changes
• Generate CNC burn table files using CAM software
• Support fabrication and assembly through accurate, production-ready documentation
Required Qualifications for the Designer / Drafter
• 3-5 years of drafting experience in a manufacturing environment
• 1-2 years working knowledge of SOLIDWORKS preferred
• Familiarity with metal fabrication and welding procedures
• Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills
