Morgan, Capital One Ventures, Citi Ventures, ServiceNow, Splunk Ventures and more. Harness is building the industry's leading AI-powered software delivery platform, enabling teams worldwide to build, test, and deliver software faster, safer, and more reliably. Writing code is only 30-40% of the engineering lifecycle - the rest involves testing, deployments, security, compliance, and optimization. Harness brings AI and automation to this outer loop, turning complex, time-consuming workflows into streamlined processes at massive global scale. The platform includes industry leading products in CI/CD, Feature Flags, Cloud Cost Management, Service Reliability, Chaos Engineering, Software Engineering Insights, Internal Developer Experience, and API discovery, observability, governance, and runtime protection. Over the past year, Harness powered 128M deployments, 81M builds, 1.2T API calls protected, and $1.9B in cloud spend optimized, helping customers like United Airlines and Choice Hotels accelerate releases by up to 75% and achieve 10x DevOps efficiency. With employees in over 25 countries, Harness is shaping the future of AI-driven software delivery - and we're looking for exceptional talent to help us move even faster. Position Summary At Harness, design quality and innovation matters. We're looking for a UI-focused Product Designer who sets a high bar for visual excellence, polish, and consistency across complex product surfaces. You've shipped enterprise software before, understand the rigor required for large systems, and know how to maintain visual quality across multiple releases. While this role partners closely with UX, Product, and Engineering, the center of gravity is UI design: layout, hierarchy, interaction patterns, design systems, motion, and the overall level of polish that signals trust to enterprise customers About the role UI & UX Excellence * Own the presentation layer and interaction quality of major product areas, ensuring a high bar for polish, consistency, and usability. * Design refined, scalable UI patterns for complex workflows in CI/CD, cloud, and developer tooling environments. * Push visual clarity and cohesion across the platform through strong layout, typography, spacing, color, and interaction design. * Partner closely with Design Systems to evolve components, patterns, and tokens that raise the quality bar across Harness. Customer Impact & Iteration * Ground UI and interaction decisions in customer needs, usability feedback, and real-world product usage. * Evaluate existing experiences and proactively identify opportunities to improve clarity, efficiency, and aesthetic quality. * Own outcomes post-launch by measuring impact, gathering feedback, and continuously refining visual and interaction details. About you * 5+ years of hands-on product design experience, including meaningful experience designing enterprise or developer-facing software. * A portfolio that clearly demonstrates exceptional strong UI & interaction craft with high polish - not just flows and wireframes. * Strong expertise in: * Visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and interaction design * Designing complex systems that scale across features and teams * Experience working with or contributing to design systems and maintaining consistency across large products. * Familiarity with cloud platforms or developer tools (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, CI/CD, DevOps tooling). * Highly opinionated about quality - with the judgment to balance speed and craft in a fast-moving environment. * Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving requirements while maintaining a clear visual vision. * Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence without authority. * Deep commitment to exquisite craftsmanship and pride in the details. * Brings enthusiasm, curiosity, and positive energy to the team Work Location * we can hire someone in Spain, France, Netherlands, UK, Germany Harness in the news: * Accelerating Our Mission to Bring AI to Everything After Code * Goldman Sachs leads investment in software delivery startup Harness at $5.5 billion valuation * How Harness runs 16 "startups within a startup" at scale | Jyoti Bansal * Harness Research Shows AI Visibility Crisis Fueling Security Nightmare * Harness has been named to the Inc.
