SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, operate, set up, and program CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to manufacture metallic and non-metallic parts. Have proficient G and M code knowledge, have experience in CAD/CAM software., part processing, fixture design and work holding knowledge. This candidate must also possess strong leadership skills.
This is a 2nd shift position. The hours are M-F 2:30 - 10:30pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following; however, other duties may apply.)
Reads and interprets blueprints and has proficient knowledge of GD&T
Properly and safely loads and unloads raw materials
Proficient in use of measuring instruments and part layout
Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
Ability to power on and operate CNC lathes and mills with minimal assistance. Must be self-sufficient.
Must be familiar with MAZAK controls, Haas controls and Fanuc controls.
Must demonstrate a proficient understanding of cutting tools
Properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling
Understands and has the ability to perform complex tool wear offsets and work shifts.
Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery
Assists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment
Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department
Proficient understanding and ability to follow manufacturing processes and procedures
Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures
Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques.
10 years preferred experience and /or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with CNC Machining
Aerospace experience preferred
High school diploma or GED required, associates or other training preferred
SKILLS

Perform 100% inspection on new or critical components.

Job Summary :
As a CNC Programmer, you will take part in the design and fabrication of our AirSCWO systems. This will require you to develop an understanding of 374Water's AirSCWO process and contribute to its continual improvement. You will be part of a growing fabrication team and will work directly with 374Water's engineering team, equipment suppliers, and AirSCWO system end-users.
To be a successful candidate, you must have experience working in an industrial environment, programming and operating a CNC mill, modeling equipment and parts in 3D/2D, creating CNC programs with CAM software, and you should have good knowledge of industry-standard equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop new products and product mock-ups alongside the engineering team
Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements
Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process
Assist the fabrication team during construction of our AirSCWO systems
Create technical documentation related to machine setups and tooling
Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems
Basic Qualifications and Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED
4+ years' experience as a CNC Programmer, CNC Operator, or equivalent
4+years of experience in CNC programming, with proficiency in CAM software
4+years of 3D modeling skills using SolidWorks or similar software
Knowledge of fabrication methods,CNC milling, press brake, plasma cutter, and other standard shop machinery/equipment.
Must be within 1hour commute of Oviedo, Florida site. Relocation assistance provided.
Must be authorized to work in the United States. No sponsorship available.
