    Primary Job Function This bonus eligible position operates computer and manually controlled machines to fabricate materials, loads and cycles parts, runs production lots, detects malfunctions in machine operations and communicates with co-workers and Supervisor regarding production runs. Note: This position operates on Swing Shift (2:15pm-10:45pm), Monday through Friday. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lathe - Working on lathes such as Haas ST-15Y and Manual Lathe Mill - Working on mills such as Haas 3 axis and 5 axis mills and Manual knee mill Operate, monitor, and complete production jobs on CNC Mills, checking parts to print, making offset changes, and producing quality parts. CNC setup and operation; tech tools, load programs, and set/adjust work/tool offsets accordingly. Utilizes Haas controls to input G & M code Calculates feeds and speeds Set up, tool selection and operation of parts with standard or custom specifications Studies blueprints, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece. Completes set-ups on multiple CNC Vertical Mills Operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate, load, and cycle parts Runs production lots and communicates with co-workers regarding production runs to maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment. Proves out and optimizes programs and fixturing for repeat parts Troubleshoots and operates as needed across multiple machines Detects malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools Reads prints and inspects parts for conformance, typically +/- .005 tolerance Checks parts using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges. Verifies conformance of finished work piece as specified Follows established safety protocols including required usage of PPE; helps to maintain a safe working environment Keeps work area clean and organized Performs other duties as assigned Signing Bonus To welcome you to our team and show our commitment to your success, we are offering a signing bonus of $750.00! Qualifications Minimum Qualifications and Experience Minimum skills, knowledge, education, certifications and related job experience that employee typically must have to perform essential functions of the job acceptably. 3- years in a metal manufacturing environment with extensive experience in precision lathe and mill setup and operation. Experience with all manual inspection equipment and FAI processes Must be capable of reading drawings and making offset changes independently Must have extensive machine shop/metal working skills and grasp of fundamentals Manual machining is preferred but not required Knowledgeable using controls for Haas Demonstrated ability to set up CNC machine loading programs, tools, fixtures, and setting tool offsets. Ability to read and understand machine codes, set up own jobs and run first parts Ability to set-up machining operations per setup sheets, adjust programs as needed Mastercam/G&M code experience a strong plus Knowledge of using and interpreting results from various measuring tools. Excellent blueprint reading skills Must have good math skills including trigonometry and ability to work with decimals Must be comfortable working with close tolerances (thousandths) and be able to read and interpret engineered drawings in decimal and fractional inch units. Ability to accurately inspect parts for conformance (typically +/- .005 tolerance) using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
