CNC Machinist I The CNC Machinist I Produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. Principle Responsibilities Operate CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and in accordance with machine programs and engineering drawings. CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist 2nd or weekend shift The CNC Swiss Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC Swiss-style lathe machines for the production of medical instruments and implants. This role includes part fabrication, deburring, inspection, and troubleshooting, as well as supporting new product introductions (NPI) through program debugging and setup optimization. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines according to work orders, prints, and specifications Load raw materials, perform machine offsets, and adjust tooling as needed Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout the production run Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools Maintain accurate documentation for production, inspections, and machine adjustments Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized Troubleshoot minor issues and notify supervisors or maintenance when needed Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements Work collaboratively with leads and team members to ensure efficient production flow Requirements Previous CNC operating experience preferred, but willing to train motivated candidates Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and measurement tools Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 40-50 lbs as required Basic math skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions Reliable attendance and willingness to train on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd IND2

on 1st shift from 6:48 am to 3:18 pm. Summary: A successful CNC Milling Operator II can safely and efficiently manufacture parts that meet all quality and safety requirements. This position is an hourly, non-exempt position and reports to the Production Planner Supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently produce a product that meets all quality parameters. Meet production requirements. Must be able to provide your own tools. Work to blueprint part tolerances. Work with metals such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Adjust feed rates, spindle speeds, and offsets when necessary. Deburr machined parts as required. Inspect parts during production. Develop fixturing and work holding componentry. Monitor and maintain machine fluid levels. Cross-train on other plant machinery. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required and related experience. Understanding of machine tool equipment and processes. CNC milling experience of NC mills and CNC mills with Fanuc controls. Manual milling machine experience. Ability to create, edit and troubleshoot part programs to fix issues and optimize efficiency. Ability to independently analyze and solve problems. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. A minimum of 3 years experience in a machining environment.
