CNC MACHINISTS
Kings Engineering have recently invested in new CNC machines and as a result we have a number of exciting opportunities available in our machine shop for CNC Machinists to join our team and produce high-quality components according to specifications.
These roles will be responsible for supporting the achievement of safety and production targets by providing high quality and timely maintenance service to a wide spectrum of engineering services including Mining, Transport, Construction, Rail, and Manufacturing industries.
The successful candidates will be a skilled CNC machinist with a strong attention to detail and a passion for precision machining. If you are a motivated individual who enjoys working autonomously and takes pride in the delivery of high-quality work, we want to hear from you.
Ideally these roles will cover afternoon shift (Monday to Thursday) and/or be willing to rotate within our range of rosters to ensure operational coverage.

Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, effective, and efficient machining of parts from drawings and samples
Meet required targets with safety as the priority
Operate a variety of CNC machines including borers, lathes, drilling and milling machines
Complete jobs to a high standard, on time, on budget and in accordance with quality assurance systems
Demonstrate excellent housekeeping and equipment care
Essential Criteria
Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
Relevant machinist trade qualification
Previous Supervisory experience
Experience operating a CNC borer with Fanuc controller exposure
Machining experience and proven ability to manufacture parts from drawings and samples
Strong problem solving ability
Proficient in reading CAD drawings
Good written and oral communication with the ability to effectively communicate within and between work teams , demonstrating positive interpersonal skills
Current valid NSW Driver's Licence

You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines (Lathes), interpreting blueprints, adjusting tooling, making offsets, and using precision measurement tools to ensure the accuracy of the final products. Your expertise will contribute to the success of their operations. Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and program Fanuc controlled - CNC Lathes (turning) using Mastercam, Gibbs or other CAM software in accordance with production specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure the accurate machining of components.
Upload programs and make necessary adjustments to machine parameters.
Select and install appropriate tooling and make tooling offsets as needed.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines.
Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) using tools such as: Vernier calipers, Dial calipers, Digital calipers, Micrometers, Bore micrometers, Depth micrometers, Optical Comparators, to measure and inspect parts to meet precise specifications.
Monitor and maintain quality control throughout the machining process.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience.
Minimum 3yrs of CNC Programming experience. Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines.
Strong blueprint reading skills.
Ability to read and understand CNC programs (G & M codes - Fanuc control).
Knowledge of tool selection, tooling setup, and making tool offsets.
Proficiency in using metrology tools (CMM experience is a plus)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Willingness to work with a safety-first mindset.

Salary Range: $32hr-$42hr (OR) $75-110K DOE
