Please visit our website at ****************** PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION Program, setup, test, and revise programming for various machines to create bio-compatible healthcare devices DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Under direction from Engineering Management, work closely with the R&D and Engineering team to program new projects and enhancements for existing projects Program one or more computer numeric control machines to perform drilling, reaming, tapping, milling, boring, and other machine operations over a wide range of surfaces, diameters, and depths for approved prototype designs. Utilize the pre-established methods that are automatically preprogrammed for the positioning in all axes and changing of preset tools. Determine proper operations sequences, select, and adjust tools in adapters, and mounts in storage matrix (drum.) Setups may be complicated and will require milling to exact tolerances Provide support and evaluation of new and existing designs for potential improvements in quality and efficiency Setup and operate the machines on a trial run to verify the accuracy of machine settings and programmed control data Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines as required Verify the conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.
