Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to set up and operate CNC milling machines in a fast-paced production environment. This position is responsible for executing precise milling operations, editing programs, setting tooling, and inspecting complex parts with tight tolerances. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, mechanically inclined, and focused on maintaining consistent quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and run CNC mills based on job specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and setup documentation to determine part requirements
• Select appropriate tooling, set tool offsets, and verify part dimensions using precision measuring instruments
• Make minor edits to CNC programs to ensure optimal machining results
• Inspect first-run and in-process parts to confirm dimensional accuracy and compliance

Qualifications

Job Description
EBAD seeks a qualified candidate for the position CNC Swiss Machinist, reporting to the Machine Shop Manager. The position is for 2nd Shift and is located in Moorpark, CA.
The CNC Swiss Machinist is responsible for fabricating precision-machined parts by setting up and operating a Swiss style CNC machining center per work orders, routers, & blueprints. Parts are smaller in size, 12” max. Most runs are short, 10 to 500 pieces.
Responsibilities:
Complete tool, fixture, and material setup on CNC Swiss style machine.
Running first piece article ready for inspection.
Verifying parts by using precision measuring equipment.
Changing tools and offsets based in cutting conditions.
Using proper methodology and cutting tools to produce quality parts that adhere to production and quality standards.
Using proper feed, speed, and other cutting parameters based on work piece matls such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, etc.
Revising programs as needed based on engineering or production required changes.
Participating in troubleshooting on CNC programming and production related issues on the shop floor.
Other similar or related duties as required.
Requirements :
Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
Minimum 3 years experience in CNC operation with setup experience.
Minimum 1 year experience operating a Swiss style machining center.
Experience with Citizen A20, L20 or M32 machines a plus.
Dual spindle lathe and 5 axis milling experience a plus.
ESPRIT programming software experience a plus.
General knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading and inspection tools
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

8. Accurately and regularly performs all statistical process control (SPC) specific to division requirements.

Monitors machining operations for tool wear or process instability and adjusts as necessary
