Leprino Foods broke ground on the $1 billion facility in the summer of 2022. The plant will become operational in 2025 with Phase 1 and will become fully operational by 2026! This position pays $39 per hour. There is an additional $1 differential for hours worked between 6pm and 6am. Weekly pay. Summary Description: The Industrial Electrical/Controls Technician provides plant-wide support for the selection, installation, programming, documentation, training and knowledge of plant industrial controls, including computer integration of PLC's, HMI's and process controls within the facility, training of end users on the operations of newly installed or modified process or control systems, and for standardization of control systems and control logic designs, documentation of operational procedures and as-built electrical drawings and logic. This position is located in Brownsville, TX. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead I&C Engineering Support for the RGLNG facility, covering day-to-day operations and long-term reliability goals. Primary Support for Systems/Equipment including DCS, Opticomp, turbine and local control systems (GE Mark Vie/eS), PLCs, Fire & Gas systems, analyzers, valves, actuators, transmitters, flow meters, etc. Manage Control System Processes such as alarm optimization, overrides/inhibits, software changes, OT/PCD security, and obsolescence. Frontline Operations Support to investigate control logic/instrument issues, equipment trips, and minimize downtime. Develop/Track KPIs to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient I&C performance. Lead & Mentor Technicians in troubleshooting and using centralized diagnostics tools. Coordinate with Rotating Equipment Engineers and turbine control contractors to ensure compressor reliability. Participate in Risk Reviews such as PHAs, HAZOPs, SIL/SIF assessments. Ensure MOC Compliance, including software change management and documentation accuracy. Establish and Enforce Discipline Standards, specifications, procedures, and guidelines. Monitor Safety Control Barriers, manage impairment risks to ALARP for continued safe operations. Collaborate Cross-Functionally with Operations, Maintenance, PSM, HSSE, OT, and other engineering teams. Manage Software Contracts and service agreements related to control systems. Contribute to I&C Budget Planning for Facilities Engineering. Support Brownfield Projects with I&C engineering expertise. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: B.S. in Controls, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree. 10+ years of I&C systems engineering experience. 5+ years of I&C systems engineering experience in an operating process facility. A Professional Engineering License or eligibility for registration. Willingness to travel, domestically & internationally, as needed (approximately 10-15%) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of I&C systems engineering experience in an LNG operating facility.
