What you do
Under general direction, responsible for the design, configuration, and operation of complete building control systems including other low voltage control sub-systems (i.e., lighting, nurse call, data networks, etc.) to meet the intent of the project requirements.

A Bachelor of Science in engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and 14 years of related engineering experience, or an accredited Master of Science in engineering and a minimum of 10 years of related engineering experience, or an accredited doctorate degree in engineering and a minimum of eight years of related engineering experience are required for this position.
In addition, an Engineer V must possess the following qualifications:
Well-established, substantial, professional reputation in one or more of the principal technical disciplines of the company
Demonstrated ability to direct senior technical personnel in project assignments involving research, development, integration, and sustainment of complex systems or processes
Working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools

SALARY
The expected salary range for this position is $128,960.00 to $199,680.00 annually.

Position Overview
The Electrical Engineer will assist the 432 Support Squadron Civil Engineer Flight with performing operations and maintenance (O&M) engineering duties in support of a military installation. The Electrical Engineer will perform O&M engineering involving design and construction that encompasses the maintenance, repair, upgrade, and operation of infrastructure facilities, including utility systems, utilizing a professional knowledge of electrical engineering. Essential Job Function
Prepare layouts, design considerations, and specifications; reviews architecture and engineer (A&E) contract and in-house designs for future construction/renovations/improvements to determine electrical compatibility, maintainability, and functionality.
Monitor/manage construction projects for new construction, renovations, and improvements to real property facilities from start to finish including the performance of preconstruction site surveys all the way to completion of as-built drawings.
Develop detailed parametric independent government cost estimates (IGCE) for construction, design, and equipment needed in support of mission requirements.
Inspects and/or oversees inspection of construction for compliance and advises the government on how to resolve differences with contractors and prepares/reviews change orders prior to contract modification.
Perform detailed preconstruction site surveys; review record as-built drawings at the end of construction and maintain surveillance over construction contractors to ensure overall compliance with contract specifications, schedules, etc.

Prepare/review designs for a variety of real property facilities construction projects, determining design criteria, putting together cost estimates and time schedules, preparing architectural and engineering (A&E) statements of work, etc.
Coordinate projects with other engineers and subject matter experts in other disciplines or with architects.
Perform work in the programming/base development, design, and/or operations and maintenance (O&M) functions; perform requirements programming in support of base development for O&M, military construction programs (MCP), non-appropriated fund (NAF), military family housing (MFH), etc. to include validating requirements, performing economic analyses, and coordinating with the installation facilities board.
