The Senior Automation Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated production systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. Maintain and update backups of PLC/HMI programs and documentation.
Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on automated equipment.
Recommend and implement improvements to increase equipment uptime and overall performance.
Lead or support installation, setup, and commissioning of new automated machinery.
5+ years of experience in industrial automation, preferably within a foundry or heavy manufacturing environment.
Minimum Education: Two-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology with a concentration in Automation, PLC, Robotics
Preferred Education: Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology with a concentration in Automation, PLC, Robotics
Consistently able to:
Manually lift and move product and materials up to 55 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reaching forward, reaching overhead, lifting, carrying, crouching, and bending.

Cambria's starting hourly range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This position may be eligible for a 15% shift differential which would be applied to the base hourly rate for all hours worked during designated overnight shift periods.

Technicians in this position must be highly customer focused with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. They must have the ability to prioritize service calls appropriately, and to adhere to Mayo policy and procedure.
Service calls are communicated to the technician through HTM Leadership, HTM Support Specialists, or CMMS dashboard. Emergent calls directly from the customer may require a rapid response time. On-call and overtime may be required, as well as travel to other Mayo Clinic sites and applicable vendor training.
