What a typical day looks like:
Maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying automation/robotic system components
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components and return to serviceability
Ensure preventative maintenance of robotic and process support equipment are completed on a regularly scheduled basis.
Understanding of PLCs
Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings.
Collaborate with the automation team in the qualification process of automated systems.
Assists engineers in developing and designing hardware and software required for all automation solutions per specifications.
Through troubleshooting, identifies machine malfunctions and isolates the failure mechanism.
Repairs the failure mechanism in the most cost-effective manner.
Performs preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules.
Performs calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules.
Assists process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment.
Analyzes and implements corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms.
Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.
Aligns, repairs, replaces, and balances component parts and circuitry.
Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording and indicating instruments and equipment.
Highest level may perform both software and hardware maintenance.

What you will do
Under minimal supervision, conducts preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning and general servicing of systems (including detailed troubleshooting of systems). Minimum of Four (4) years Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry. This includes buildings, chiller plants and systems.
Vocational School program graduate or an associate's degree in a technical field, or two years' experience in servicing electronic and or mechanical systems.
Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
Possesses the ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
Demonstrate effective writing skills as well as understanding of programs and software applications.
Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems.

Job OverviewWe're seeking an Electromechanical Technician to ensure the operational readiness and reliability of our autonomous surface vessels for the DoD. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining ASVs and remain instrumental in sustaining mission-critical assets and ongoing operations.Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments of ASVs and their components to identify issues and malfunctions
Perform timely and efficient repairs, replacements, and adjustments to restore ASVs to optimal functionality
Collaborate closely with engineering and technical teams to troubleshoot complex problems and implement effective solutions
Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance procedures to validate repairs and ensure compliance with performance standards
Document all repair activities, including findings, procedures, and outcomes, adhering to company protocols and industry regulations
Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for depot repair operations
Assist in the development and optimization of repair procedures and protocols to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Provide technical support and training to field technicians and end-users as needed
Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience in depot-level repair and maintenance of complex electronic and mechanical systems, preferably in the maritime or defense industry
Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and systems
Familiarity with autonomous systems, marine navigation, and control systems is preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Experience working with the DoD or government contracts is a plus
