Duties & Responsibilities: The Production Test Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of VIAVI electronic test equipment from the individual component level for the purpose of achieving engineering requirements, function and providing the customer with a reliable and quality product. Duties/Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, diagnose, modify, replace and repair electrical components, parts, equipment, and systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications. Maintains and makes necessary operating adjustments to test units. Determines material or replacement needs and a logical method for repair; takes appropriate action to meet those needs and makes repairs. Follows all established ESD (Electrostatic Discharge/Damage) requirements Maintains records related to electronic and electrical equipment. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. Meet daily/weekly OTS requirements Performs other related duties as assigned. Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements: Required Skills/Abilities: Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design. Ability to read schematics and related engineering documents Soldering fine pitch and SMD components. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software Excellent problem-solving ability. Ability to follow highly complex directions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Utilizes a good understanding of electronic theory to effect timely repairs. Ability to troubleshoot technical problems down to component level. Demonstrates organizational and time management skills. Education and Experience: Associates degree in Electronics and/or equivalent experience required. Working knowledge of RF theory/technology. Experience using hand-held and/or benchtop RF equipment such as Signal Generators, Arbitrary Waveform Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes and Signal Analyzers. Desired: Minimum of 1 year experience working with digital and analog circuits, and RF circuitry. Minimum of 1 year experience with electronic and electrical troubleshooting. Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, the Full-Time HVAC Burner Test Technician performs combustion performance testing on industrial and commercial burner products that are manufactured on site. Position will transition into Service Technician with travel to begin on or before 90 days of employment. Responsibilities: Read and understand wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints. Assemble and mount burners to boilers for testing. Pipe oil lines, gas trains, feed water systems and steam headers to boilers. Perform mounting and reading of test instruments, recording readings and test data with knowledge of normal parameters. Maintain well organized written reports and project records in such a manner that the results can be analyzed and used by others. Maintain a neat, clean, orderly and functional work area at all times, ensure compliance with all safety rules and standards. Assist other HVAC Burner Test Technicians in any lab, service and R&D functions as required. Other duties as assigned. We are seeking a skilled Calibration Technician to perform calibration and repair of electronic and mechanical test and measurement equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with AC/DC low voltage instruments, RF/MW frequency devices, temperature & humidity measurement tools, and mechanical T&M equipment. Responsibilities: Calibrate and repair electronic and mechanical measuring devices. Work with low voltage, RF/MW, temperature & humidity, and mechanical test equipment. Follow established calibration procedures and ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards. Interpret electrical schematics and perform uncertainty calculations. Maintain accurate records of calibration activities. Requirements: Experience in calibration and repair of test equipment. Familiarity with ISO 17025 and measurement uncertainty calculations. Strong understanding of AC/DC circuitry. Associate degree in electronics or equivalent required. Military PMEL/TMDE experience is a plus. Ability to lift and move 33 lbs. unassisted.
