The Main External Customer Contact will include: Residents and their family & friends, Volunteers, and Food Vendors. Duties and Responsibilities Job Specific- Prepare cold food preparation & dessert for menu items; prepare, set up and breakdown catering, interact with residents taking orders on “Request Menu” Prepares and cooks regular and specialized meals for residents and employees of institution. Assist Chef with food ordering and putting away of food and supply deliveries. Cooks food in quantities according to the menu and number of persons to be served. Required to serve meals and direct activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals. Prepare various foods in accordance with menu created by the chef and dietitians, for each meal of the day. Wash, peel, cut and seed vegetables and fruit. Cleans, cuts, and grinds meats, poultry and seafood. Weigh and measure designated ingredients for recipe. Prepare and label salads, fresh fruit trays, desserts, lunch items according to menu, and other side dishes. Prepare items according to dinner menu and next day's menu (soup, baking, etc.). Operate kitchen equipment in preparation for meals. Required to clean work areas and floors and cover, label, date and store unused foods. Required to use institutional size cookware. Required to record information accurately on the appropriate logs. Must be able to work at an appropriate pace to ensure the food is ready for each meal of the day. May be required to assist with ordering supplies. Work with a variety of food types daily such as meat, fruits, vegetables, canned foods, breads, pastas, etc. Check catering lists, orientation, comfort carts, and birthday meals for food items/meals required for the shift. Deep clean and sanitize station at end of shift, including washing all pots and knives used. Operate an industrial size dishwasher. Assist in maintaining kitchen work areas and keeping equipment, utensils and food plates clean and orderly. Sweep and mop floors. Wash food preparation work tables, walls, refrigerators, and refrigerated walk-ins storage. Remove garbage from kitchen area and clean garbage containers. Assist in food/meal delivery and tray retrieval. Prepare and deliver coffee, hot water and infused water carts Ensure liquids are thickened appropriately and served at proper temperature. Prepare trays for residents and ensure their accuracy in terms of diet and thickness of liquid. Set up stations with entrees, soups, salads, breads, condiments, and other food products and utensils. Provides general stocking duties in service area and beverage areas. Serves and replenishes food from counters and steam tables and breaks down stations at end of meal periods. Interacts with residents in serving and dining areas. Any other duties as assigned Schedule: 40 hours per week **AM and PM, weekend availability required** Wage: The pay scale for this position is from $19.75/hr. up to $23.69/hr. depending on relatable experience as determined by the supervisor and HR. Corps members learn valuable team building skills as they work on bridging a wide range of lived experiences and backgrounds, their cross-cultural communication skills, conflict resolution management, and value-driven leadership capacity. This position is managed by the EarthCorps Operations Manager and supervised by EarthCorps Project Managers. Responsibilities include operating a cash register, running the donation station by interacting effectively with donors, cleaning the store, and completing other assigned tasks. Goals are set each month to support the Store Manager in meeting store objectives. Crew Members work in the warehouse with heavy donation processing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Customer Service | Cashier | Production Processes donations on regular basis in Warehouse using safety equipment and provided equipment. Assist Manager in conducting quality control checks through various stages of production. Understand and explain donation criteria to donors and provide receipts.
