These jobs will be part-time (but may move to full-time later on if available), and the pay will include an hourly wage between $21.30 and $22.50 plus a share of the tips from our generous guests.

POSITION PURPOSE
The Cook 2 guides, supports and actively participates in all aspects of production and service of a variety of foods/cuisines, including cutting meat and seafood, making sauces and/or cooking proteins. Training & Advancement
After completing Recruit Training, CSs attend a seven-week A school in Fort Lee, VA, where they learn food preparation, nutrition, and dining service. Placement and advancement opportunities are excellent for qualified applicants. Advanced technical and operational training is available later in their careers.
Education Opportunities
CSs can earn college credits through the American Council on Education for courses taken in this rating. Additionally, the United States Naval Community College (USNCC) offers degree
programs, including a Naval Studies Certificate, that contribute toward an associate degree. These programs support professional development and educational advancement. CSs may also take advantage of voluntary education programs such as the Navy College Program, Tuition Assistance, and the Post-9/11 GI Bill to further their education while serving.

To qualify as a CS, individuals should:
Be good team workers and enjoy working with people.
Have good arithmetic and verbal skills, creative ability, and an interest in nutrition and culinary arts.
Be able to do detailed work, follow instructions, and keep accurate records.

Complete all assigned duties promptly and efficiently as directed by management

Education and Work Experience

Experience handling cash or POS system is a plus, but not required
Understand basic cleanliness and safety standards to support a safe and hygienic environment
Qualifications and Skills
Authorized to work in the United States
Must be at least 16 years of age
Obtain a Food Handlers permit within 2 weeks of hire
Ensure compliance with all required training as mandated by local, state, and federal laws, as well as company policies, to maintain operational and regulatory standards
Must comply with minor work laws and provide a completed work authorization within the first week of hire (if applicable)
Able to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
The work environment is fast-paced, high-energy, and dynamic, requiring the ability to multitask and remain organized under pressure. This role involves frequent interaction with customers, creating a welcoming and efficient dining experience. The restaurant environment includes both indoor and outdoor areas, and you may be required to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift. Safety and cleanliness are top priorities, and all staff members are expected to follow health and safety protocols. Flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, is required.
