PURPOSE STATEMENT: Assess, diagnose and provide clinical services for those with behavioral health disorders. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions in the delivery of services to individuals and families for the purpose of treating such diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders. Conduct a psychosocial assessment and develop an initial discharge plan. Conduct individual, group or family sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan of the patient. Provide initial treatment planning for patient based on assessment and coordinate any additional services needed, revising as necessary. Maintain documentation of therapy services provided to each patient according to facility and professional standards and revising as indicated by facility or professional standard. Maintain a caseload as assigned. Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with other staff to facilitate services for the patient, as appropriate to their treatment plan. May provide these services in an inpatient or outpatient setting. May perform case management, discharge or after care planning as needed. Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority. OTHER FUNCTIONS: * Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: * Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Human Services field required. * One or more years' experience working with comparable patient population required. LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: * Requisite state or national licensure for professional therapy providers or eligible for state licensure as a professional therapy provider. * CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). Performs a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures and acquires and analyzes data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Prepares, administers, and documents activities related to contrast medications and radiation exposure in accordance with state laws, regulations, and company policy. Essential Functions * Receive, relay and document verbal, facsimile, electronic and/or telephone orders in the patient's chart as permitted by state and company policies * Provide education and prepare patients for procedures * Select the appropriate protocol and optimize technical factors while maximizing patient safety * Apply principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others * Apply three basic principles of radiation safety: time, distance and shielding * Observe patient and machine during procedure and report any unexpected outcomes * Clean and disinfect x-ray room and equipment as per infection control policy * Evaluate images for proper positioning and determine if additional images will improve the procedure or treatment outcome * Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper identification is recorded * Corroborate a patient's clinical history with the procedure and ensure information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner * Postprocess images and data * Verify archival storage of exam data * Assist in maintaining medical records while respecting confidentiality and established policy * Identify and respond to emergency situations * Follow process for managing equipment and physical environment to ensure a safe working environment * Communicate issues, concerns, and opportunities for improvement to immediate supervisor routinely * Work cooperatively as a team member with co-workers in all departments of the hospital * Apply principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care * Provide optimal patient care Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations * Approximate percent of time required to travel 0% * Must read, write and speak fluent English * Must have good and regular attendance * Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications Education * Graduate from an accredited institution in medical radiography Licenses/Certification * The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration * Current BLS certification * State certifications/licensure as required by the state in which employed Experience * One year experience in diagnostic imaging preferred
