Primary Function:
The Custodian is responsible for performing general custodial duties at SigmaDesign's Camas, Washington location. In addition, the Custodian is responsible for providing input and guidance to the Facilities Team regarding best practices for keeping the facilities clean and safe.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
* Clean and set up conference rooms and shared common areas within the facility.

The Oregon City High School Head Custodian is responsible for leading the custodial staff at Oregon City High School, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the school building and grounds, and performing routine maintenance and repair tasks. The employee in this position serves as the lead daytime custodian and works closely with OCHS administrators, the Head Night Custodian, and the maintenance department to ensure that the school facilities are well-maintained.
This classification is distinguished from lower ranges by the greater emphasis on leadership and routine maintenance responsibilities, and the degree of independence which requires incumbents to meet the requirements of administrators and teachers while ensuring the timely completion of schedules.
Essential Functions
Confer with school administration or teachers regarding the care and cleaning of school facilities.

Ensure that buildings are properly secured.

North Clackamas School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Cleaning Functions:
a. Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and refinish floors; clean, dust and polish furniture; wash windows and walls; clean restrooms; dispose of rubbish, change lights, etc.; make certain all areas of the building are kept in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition according to industry and/or district standards.

2. Administrative Functions:
a. Recognize the need for maintenance service requests according to district procedures. Follow through to assure that maintenance is performed in a timely manner.
b. Request cleaning supplies and materials needed to accomplish assigned tasks.
c. Maintain awareness of energy conservation and make suggestions of methods and procedures to consider energy.
d. Secure equipment and supplies and protect against pilferage, loss, theft, or abuse.
3. Safety and Security:
a. Conduct daily inspection and otherwise maintain awareness of, facility and equipment to detect and prevent injuries or damage.
b. Secure school building to insure proper building security at all times. Lock, secure and code out building at end of shift.

PURPOSE

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
Clean and set up conference rooms and shared common areas within the facility.
Sanitize facility restrooms and locker rooms.
Maintain cleanliness of breakroom area, including floors, countertops, and refrigerators.
Ensure restrooms are properly supplied and restocked.
Maintain/order custodial supplies as needed.
Collect trash and recyclable materials for proper disposal.
Vacuum carpets and clean other floor surfaces as needed. Deep clean carpeting and other floor surfaces periodically.
Keep supply closets clean and organized with products labeled properly and stored correctly.
Perform special custodial work upon request of Facilities Department.
Assisting with event setup and cleanup.
Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 Years of Experience in janitorial work experience preferred
Strong written and verbal English language communication skills
Ability to use cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment with skill, safety, and efficiency.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize work requirements.
Capable of performing moderately heavy cleaning tasks, repetitive motions and physical work requiring reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing ladders, and lift up to 50 lb.
Practices safe work habits and contributes to the safety of self and coworkers, including the use of personnel protective equipment as needed.
Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group
Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core Values

Work Environment
Work is performed throughout the office building, including office areas, kitchens, and restrooms. Requires regular standing, bending, stooping, and moving about the facility for extended periods (up to 12 hours). Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Work involves the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment; appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. This role may occasionally require working in areas with varying environmental conditions.

Under the direction of the Head Night Custodian, the Night Custodian plans, organizes, and performs the cleaning and minor maintenance of the school during the night shift. Other duties as assigned.

Job Description
Job Title: Janitor Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $21-$23 per hour Schedule: Full-time schedules available, including Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm, and Wednesday-Sunday 9:00am-6:00pm.
We are looking for a Janitor to support the daily cleanliness and upkeep of a high-rise residential community in the South Waterfront. This role is essential to maintaining an organized, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Care of all common areas and, as directed, limited common areas, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, broom-cleaning, scrubbing and polishing on the established schedule
Monitor restrooms, clean and stock with paper products and soap as needed. Clean and shine mirrors/stainless and chrome fixtures
Maintain the Guest Suite between guests and re-stock if requested during guest stays
Collect recycling, empty trash receptacles, manage dumpsters and keep trash and recycling areas clean and orderly
Keep janitor areas/closets organized and let on-site community manager know of any supplies are needed well in advance
Keep all entrances, the courtyard, garages, drive aisles, sidewalks and tree wells clear of debris and orderly
Clean elevators, including tracks doors and floors
Vacuum, mop and/or sweep halls & stairwells and keep free of debris and cobwebs
Clean accessible glass in entry areas and the community room as needed
Report vandalism, damage and/or items left in common and limited common areas
Ensure services and responsibilities are fully carried out on a daily basis and as required seasonally
