GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Starting in the Felt Department or Roofing Department of the East 80

Cleveland Manufacturing Plant, the Operator will start up, troubleshoot, and operate manufacturing and production equipment safely and routinely, while achieving or exceeding standard levels of production, according to specifications. This position can turn into a regular, full-time, union position if the employee completes the probationary period. During the probationary period, this position will work on the 1st Shift. If the employee successfully completes the probationary period and becomes a regular employee, the position will most likely change to 2nd or 3rd shift, depending on the Plant's needs.

Performs work safely, according to safety rules and guidelines, and follows Tremco's Escalation Policy for any safety or quality concerns.
Communicates with Team Lead and/or Supervisor during shift changes and throughout shift.
Understands and operates the HMI at the various stations along the line to keep the line operating safely and efficiently.
Monitors weight, speed, and other metrics along the line.
Operates forklift to move raw materials, load carrier, and move finished product.
Makes raw material batches in the appropriate mixer(s), according to specifications.
Performs quality control tests on the batches, per established guidelines.
Ensures proper labels are being used on the taping machine.
Fills appropriate-sized pails, drums, or totes, labels filled items, and places pails/drums on pallet.
Performs daily housekeeping/cleaning of immediate area and other surrounding areas and departments, as needed.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
No prior education or experience required.
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or similar industry experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic knowledge of mathematics-i.e., addition, subtraction, fractions, etc.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions.
Forklift Certificate and operations experience preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
Operation of batch pre-expander, continuous expander, and/or raw material tipper, as assigned.
Performs the unloading of EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) materials) received in bulk trailers using designated vacuum system designed for such purpose, ensuring that the bulk material is loaded into the correct storage silo(s).
Ensure that the information on the material inventory board(s) are accurate and up to date.
Retrieve raw material(s) from inventory for expansion.
Inspect expansion equipment prior to operation to insure its safe operating condition.
Insure the proper location and storage of expanded bead in the designated storage hopper(s).
Records expansion data on Bead Storage Location board and reports expansion activity to Inventory Control Specialist.
Reports raw material usage on the Raw material Daily Report and also delivers that report to the Inventory Control; Specialist or other person designated to enter resin consumption data into the company's inventory control system(s).
Performs sampling tests on raw materials and delivers the resulting data to the Quality team.
Insures that expanded bead has passed the appropriate quality inspection(s) and is approved for use in production.
Compliance with legal environmental and safety requirements of the area.
Know the environmental aspects of the area and its control.
Know the environmental impacts associated with their activities
Follow all Environmental and Safety policies.

Job Duties:

Removing excess flashing as parts come off the press, as well as quality inspection.
Offloading, assembling, filling, testing, and packaging tanks
Follow all 5S practices and supports lean activities, as well as safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Position hours/shift (Overtime Available!):
3rd shift: 8:30pm to 7am, Monday - Thursday
10% shift differential for 3rd shift
Physical Requirements:
Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 50 pounds. Steel-toed shoes are required.
Compensation:

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Separator is to line boxes, fill boxes to the appropriate weight with the correct labels, and send up the conveyor through tape machine and the metal detector.
Run all products through the non-select line fill boxes to the appropriate weight with the correct labels, and send up the conveyor through tape machine and the metal detector. Correctly fill out paperwork to keep track of batches of non-select also be able to switch screens over to run different products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily: Separator
Ensure Correct Screen configuration / change if needed
Ensure correct labels / Change if needed
Do metal detection paperwork as well as Optical Sorter checks
Conduct ball count and scale checks with associated paperwork
Change out liner rolls if needed logging them on the tracking sheet
Line boxes, fill to appropriate weigh and correctly label them
Close boxes run up the conveyor through the tape machine and metal detector
Fill all HACCP and ABC samples and store in yellow tubs
End of shift cleaning
