Follows established GLFHC and MDPH protocols including but not limited to safe handling, storing and disposal of syringes. Educates clients on safer drug use and injecting, the transmission of infection and how to minimize the risk of infection. Qualifications Comprehensive knowledge, familiarity and comfort with marginalized populations such as (active substance users, injection drug users (IDUs), people living with HIV/AIDS and/or Hepatitis C, sex workers and other high risk populations) and the Latino MSM community and understand the most effective ways to conduct outreach and bring them into services. Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Vehicle must be insured. Satisfactory completion of the background check including Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Minimum of (2) years of professional driving experience. Computer experience required. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and other staff in English and Spanish. Learn product descriptions and box types to assist in the proper delivery of product at each location. Assist the driver in placing stock into the proper delivery zone in the store (freezer, cooler and dry). Lift boxes and bags of varying sizes and weights frequently during the course of a day. Divert traffic to promote a safe working environment for the driver to back up into the store parking lot and delivery area. Guide the driver through parking lots. Navigate through busy parking lots and intersections while delivering product using a two-wheel hand truck, an electric or manual pallet jack. Climb in and out to the tractor and trailers repeatedly throughout the day. Safely operate the side and rear lift gates on the delivery vehicles.
