Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a mid-level structural engineer to join our Investigative Engineering Group in our Larkspur, CA office. Typical projects include engineering support for building renovations/repairs, concrete repair, fall protection systems, facade access systems, building envelope systems, concrete repair, expert witness work, and non-destructive testing.
This position will focus on providing engineering services for renovation, restoration, retrofit, and repair projects for existing structures. Work will include meeting with clients, developing reports, and producing engineering deliverables as defined by the particular project needs. Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards and the ability to formulate appropriate conclusions to the conditions encountered during investigation are required skills.
The successful candidate will be required to manage and oversee field investigations, recommend testing programs, develop reports and repair documents, and perform construction administration services. Projects will necessitate a balance between in-office design time and on-site evaluation time.
