Duties and Responsibilities
As a Marine Interdiction Agent, you will perform marine-based law enforcement operations for the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, terrorist weapons, and other contraband and persons from illegally entering or attacking the United States. Typical duties may include:
Monitoring behavior patterns and activities of suspect persons, vehicles, or vessels believed to be engaged in illegal activities.

Qualifications

Additional Duties include but not limited to:
* Broad program management responsibilities.
* Will supervise all clinical staff within this program and will assure that the performance of staff and clinical procedures are in alignment with established treatment policies. SUD/IOP at this facility has Psychology (4), Social Work (4), Addiction Therapists (8) and Psychiatry staff (5) assigned at 3 locations: 2 CBOCs and the main medical center.
* Will complete performance appraisals for each employee within this program.
* Manages the day-to-day operations of the program regarding issues such as coverage, clinic profiles, and environment of care.
* Manages the program time and attendance through approval or disapproval of annual, sick, authorized absence, and other leaves.
* Responsible for monitoring and improving patient flow to the program to allow for efficient scheduling and for assuring same day access to care for New and Established Patients.
* Receives, assigns, and/or monitors the consults, same day referrals, and care transitions (CPRS consults, referrals to other and from other services) of Veterans enrolled in his/her program.
* Works actively with program Staff and schedulers (HAS) as well as HAS leadership in procedures regarding clinic utilization and scheduling to avoid missed opportunities and no-show rate.
* Assures that treatment teams within his/her program carry out all patient care related meetings such as huddles, treatment planning, monthly interdisciplinary meetings and other required meetings.
* Supervises and monitors all staff regarding completion of required documentation and progress notes.
* Assists the Senior manager in assuring that staff within his program are able to follow all standard operating procedures established for this program.
* Understands and interprets data provided in essential performance reports (e.g. clinic utilization, caseload, productivity, and performance measures, etc.).
* Able to share relevant data with staff under his/her supervision, identify barriers, and promote improvement as needed.
* Manages and directs the work of program staff to accomplish program goals and objectives as well as program's performance measures and performance improvement activities.

Duties and Responsibilities
As a Marine Interdiction Agent, you will perform marine-based law enforcement operations for the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, terrorist weapons, and other contraband and persons from illegally entering or attacking the United States. Typical duties may include:
Monitoring behavior patterns and activities of suspect persons, vehicles, or vessels believed to be engaged in illegal activities.
Interpreting radar data to calculate appropriate intercept while tracking vessels and people to a successful interdiction.
Searching persons, vessels, baggage, and cargo for contraband or weapons incidental to detention or arrest.
Collecting, refining, and analyzing strategic and tactical intelligence.
Qualifications
This GS-11 grade level position has a selective factor: As a minimum qualification requirement all candidates must have a qualifying Merchant Mariner Credential. See the U.S. Coast Guard Issued Merchant Mariner Credentials (MMC) section that is listed below for qualifying capacities.
You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Independently applying advanced skill in controlling/commanding law enforcement scenes to include conducting searches, making arrests, processing arrests and seizure of evidence and property.
Conducting investigative inquiries using various techniques, examining files and records, physical and documentary evidence to identify logical conclusions.
Utilizing cameras and other electronic high-tech surveillance equipment to gather evidence, collect, evaluate, and then preserve that physical and documentary evidence.
Highly skilled in writing comprehensive arrest, criminal and incident reports.
Assisting government or state attorneys in preparation for court cases or grand juries, testifies as a law enforcement officer in court proceedings, and administrative forums.
Considerable experience applying arrest authorities and constitutional law in various alleged criminal situations, or knowledge and experience of CBP laws, regulations, policies, legal precedent.
OR GS-11 Education Substitution for experience: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M.

Psychiatrist is responsible for the direct supervision of all professional behavioral health staff assigned to the SUD/IOP program. The Psychiatrist is a licensed staff physician and practice independently in the provision of medical services, consulting, and providing clinical supervision to trainees as appropriate.
