General Summary: The main objective of the Dietary Aid's role is to prepare meals, adhere to menus, deliver meals, and cater to the culinary needs of patients/residents in a timely fashion. The Dietary Aid also acts as the representative of the Food and Nutrition Services department.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions & Percent of Time Meal Time Preparation
Prepare all cold/hot items and condiments for meal times according to quantities as written on the Daily Production List.
Adhere to menus
Serve food in accordance with mandated guidelines
Focus on presentation of trays including meal accuracy, meal temperature, and ensure timely tray delivery.
Ensure satisfaction with culinary services during the shift for the assigned floors. Patient/Resident Menu Selection
Maintain hot food hot and cold food cold during meal delivery.
Ensure meal accuracy and diet appropriateness serving meal trays.
Ensure all patient/resident culinary needs are catered to during the shift between meal times.
Organization - Maintain organization throughout the shift on the assigned floor.
Prioritize the day appropriately according to the assigned floor.
Teamwork - Assist other team members when necessary. Ask for help when necessary.
Assist management in any way conducive to the efficient operation of the food service department. Communication
Effectively communicate product and equipment issues to management in a timely manner.
Know the schedule and check with management before leaving.
Job Specifications:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Education: No degree required.
Applicable work experience preferred.
Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping and bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Adhere to the Facility's Emergency Preparedness Program, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other mandatory programs in the facility as appropriate.

**How you will make an impact:**
