Wage Commensuration The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and/ or service of meals/ food for patients, employees, and special events as instructed by the Dietary Manager.
Serve food and snacks according to the planned menu/spreadsheet and the patient's/resident's food preferences and diet order.
Assist the Cook by ensuring the food prepared/and or pre-portioned using proper food handling/ safety techniques and is of proper quantity, completed on time as scheduled, and is in accordance with the menu & residents' diet order.
May wash dishes, etc. when necessary or when instructed to do so by the Dietary Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must possess, as a minimum, High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D
Food handler's permit preferred according to local regulatory requirements
Experience in food prep and service within a skilled nursing or long term care facility strongly preferred
Must be able to speak, understand, and write in fluent English
Reliable transportation required

Perform a variety of duties related to the day-to-day preparation and delivery of school food service to students and adults.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
* Must be 18 years of age
* Possess or ability to obtain a Maricopa County Environmental Services Food Service Worker card within 30 days from hire.
* Have the ability to perform vigorous physical work and to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Have the ability to continuously stand and/or walking for shift
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, school staff and students.
* Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff.

PREFERRED:
* Have experience in institutional, restaurant or school kitchen environment.

* Be involved in the preparation and serving of food daily in the cafeteria, to include outside serving carts.
* Operate various types of commercial kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, choppers, steam tables, ovens, etc. as needed.
* Wash dishes, pots and pans, equipment, kitchen utensils, and work area cleanup.
* Set-up and cleanup food serving lines, food bars, etc.
* Excellent customer service.
* Conform to District, Food and Nutrition and Health Department policies.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
* May transport food to another location and organize food distribution.
* May assist in training employees.
* Other duties as assigned.
* Handle money for purchase of food and beverage service and operate a register or computerized point of sale, to include associated paperwork.
