DigiCert company history timeline

2008

Jamie Elvidge has been a member of the DigiCert team since 2008.

2015

The acquisition resulted from questions first raised in 2015 by web browsers Google and Mozilla about the authenticity of certificates issued by Symantec, which represented one-third of all TLS/SSL certificates on the web.

2016

Mark Packham joined DigiCert in July 2016 and oversees brand strategy, lead gen, thought leadership, content strategy, public relations, digital marketing, and analyst relations.

2017

In December 2017, DigiCert began issuing free replacements for all distrusted certificates from Symantec, GeoTrust, RapidSSL, Thawte and VeriSign.

2018

Sinead has been with DigiCert since 2018, building a culture of engagement, feedback and development.

2018, the company had revalidated more than 550,000 organizational identities and issued more than 5 million replacement certificates for affected customers.

2019

In 2019, Clearlake Capital Group, L.P., a leading private investment firm, and TA Associates, an existing investor, reached an agreement to make a strategic growth investment in DigiCert.

2020

Since March 2020, she has led DigiCert’s COVID response, prioritizing the health and safety of our people, while also supporting leaders with business continuity.

2021

Greg Clark joined DigiCert’s Board of Directors in December 2021.

2022

Bodin joined DigiCert in March 2022.
