It took a lot of time and effort to get your Class A CDL license. You studied, went to the Academy. Took the time at the DMV. After all of that you realize many carrier's won't give you a chance because you don't have at least 1 year's OTR experience.
We will. We will also pay you competitive wages while you go through our 30 day hands on training, helping mold you into a good safe driver. For 30 days straight we will take you all over the country, giving you the valuable training you need. During training you will be paid a salary of $650.
Once you have completed our 30 day OTR training you will come home then take 2-5 days off to unwind.
After which you will be assigned your company truck and start earning $1,200-$1400 a week on average depending on which run you choose. We offer OTR, regional runs. In some of the largest city's we also have local positions.
After you apply we will call and do a short phone interview with you.
Once approved for Orientation we then get you scheduled for Orientation. You'll spend 1 1/2 days in orientation.
After training is completed, you will be able to obtain experienced driver level and obtain higher paying dedicated, regional and OTR runs ect.
In order to qualify, you have had to graduated from a Class A Academy with at least 120 hours of training in the last 2 years.
Why would you want to work for us? We don't keep you in training for long periods of time like some carriers. We allow you to promote up quickly making bigger pay checks. We also get you home more often. We use excellent maintained trucks that won't have you parked on the side of the road.
As a bonus we offer tuition assistance of up to $1,000 to help pay off your Academy loan when you obtained your CDL. It's like a sign on bonus for trainees.
To get approved as a Class A Driver trainee you must...
Be at least 21 years of age
Have a fairly a clean MVR no suspensions in the last year
Have graduated from an accredited Academy attending for at least 120 hours of training in the last 2 years.
Be able to pass all background check
Be able to pass all DOT related tests including hair or urine test
Have a current Class A CDL and DOT physical in good standing with no in state restrictions.

In this role, you will:
Deliver blood components to and pickup returns from designated locations, packing all units (tubes and records) to maintain the required temperature range during transit ensuring every components' highest quality while ensuring excellent customer service.
Perform visual inspections and verify numbering, labeling and appearance of all units selected for delivery to ensure quality control standards are met.
Place returned units on designated observation shelves, notifying supervisors or laboratory personnel of any abnormalities.
Initiate and complete documents for consignment and return of blood components to designated locations, providing copies to appropriate personnel/hospitals.
Transport supplies, mail, etc. to and from facilities.
Construct shipping boxes, ice bags and complete waybills as needed/directed.
Perform the Stoplight computer checks on each consignment delivered to ensure proper, accurate, and adequate receipt of products.
Maintain all assigned vehicles and equipment in a clean and safe operating manner.
Perform quality assurance/quality control activities as assigned.

We need someone who has:
High School Diploma or GED; No previous experience or training required.
Valid Texas Driver's License (TDL) plus acceptable driving record.
Must meet standards of The Blood Center's Vehicle Safety Program.
Ability and willingness to travel locally, including frequent trips between College Station and Houston.

The purpose of the Transportation Driver position is to assist with commuting resident to and from appointment/ designated locations. Assigned duties may vary by location' however, all Transportation Drivers are expected to fill gaps in their traveling schedules with constructive job duties.
Duties & Responsibilities
The following represents the essential functions of the Transportation Driver's role. This list is intended to be a general description of duties and responsibilities; however, it is subject to change according to the needs of the facility determined by the Director of Nursing and/or Administrator.
Complete and maintain adequate training regarding operation of the facility vehicle(s), vehicle equipment, safety harness/ strap system, transportation policies, transportation forms, vehicle checks, and reporting maintenance needs.
Transport residents timely and safely by following van, lift, and strap system manufacturer guidelines.
Complete facility errands requiring a vehicle to include but not limited to transporting resident belongings, facility equipment, documents, medication, shopping needs for residents, specimens, etc. to desired location as determined by the Director of Nursing an/or Administrator.
Act as facility liaison to communicate any occurrences and information from medical entities with the facility such as progress notes, follow-up appointments, etc.
Always provide distraction free operation of facility vehicles. No cell phone usages during vehicle operation.
Always lock vehicle upon parking/ leaving unattended.
Assure residents are fed appropriately by bringing prepared snack/meal from the dietary department. If unplanned/ prolonged trip causes resident to miss a meal, provide required documentation for meal expenditure(s) in a timely manner.
May sit at the nurses' station to monitor resident needs, answering call lights, answering phones, and assisting with facility workflow.
May assist with scheduling appointments and/or notification of resident and/or their responsible party of upcoming or rescheduled appointments.
May assist with supplies ordering, stocking, and/or inventory.
May assist with medical record organization and filing.
May, if Certified Nursing Aid, assist with resident on the hall or during meal service.
use appropriate tone and professional phone etiquette with residents, healthcare providers, visitors, and vendors.
Communicate messages in writing or verbally to the appropriate personnel without delay.
Assists and directs visitors and vendors to appropriate facility staff or resident location.

The Vehicle Driver II - Transportation performs highly complex motor vehicle operations work to transport ambulatory and non-ambulatory passengers on short and long-distance trips for the assigned State Supported Living Center using state-owned motor vehicles such as Full-Size Van, Wheelchair Van, Paratransit/Small Bus, truck and/or car. Assists designated staff to on- and off-board passengers. Ensures that passengers use safety restraints and that wheelchairs are properly secured in the vehicle prior to departure. Secures cargo as needed. Follows the assigned schedule for pick up and drop off to the scheduled activity and/or appointment(s). Operates the vehicle in accordance with training protocols, best practices for safety, and complies with all state and local traffic laws. Maintains vehicles at optimal condition, performs basic vehicle maintenance, completes preventive maintenance checks, and documents results. Has no supervisory or financial responsibilities but is accountable for assigned vehicles, preparing and maintaining forms or records pertaining to vehicle operations and ensuring vehicles are scheduled for general maintenance. Essential Job Functions (EJFs):
Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
Operates state-owned motor vehicles such as Full-Size Van, Wheelchair Van, Paratransit/Small Bus, truck and/or car to transport ambulatory and non-ambulatory individuals to on and off-campus appointments and activities. Secures any cargo such as food and beverage coolers, clothing items, and/or medical supplies in accordance with the instructions provided. Complies with best practices for vehicle operation and safety such as obeying posted maximum and minimum speed limits. During periods of heavy traffic, inclement weather, low visibility, or other poor driving conditions, adjusts speed so that accidents will be avoided. Only uses electronic devices (such as cell phone) when the vehicle is safely parked and avoids other "distracted driving" practices in accordance with training. Follows agency protocols following an accident in accordance with the training received including immediate post-accident on-site action, notification of emergency personnel and/or law enforcement (if applicable) and SSLC administration and completing required reports.
Assists designated staff in the safe loading and unloading of passengers in accordance with their individual care plans and in a manner consistent with facility rules and regulations and using established methods and/or techniques (including lifting, carrying, an/or pushing). Ensures ambulatory passengers use safety restraints. Operates vehicle power lifts to safely load and unload wheelchairs of various sizes and configurations. Ensures tailgate lifts, lift-gates, and wheelchair lifts are kept in the closed position except during actual loading and unloading. Ensures lifts are used only for the purpose intended by the manufacturer and the rated capacity is not exceeded. Ensures the vehicle is not driven with the tailgate lift in the open position except when necessary for appropriate alignment when backing up to a loading area. Ensures that vehicle capacity is not exceeded. Ensures that all individual seat belts and the provided wheelchair securement devices are securely fastened before placing a vehicle in motion. Reports any issues with passenger compliance to the designated support staff.
Follows the assigned schedule for pick up and drop off to the scheduled activity and/or appointment(s). Determines trip routes and coordinates and pre- and post-trip tasks to ensure timely transport of passengers to the assigned activity our appointment whether on or off the SSLC campus. Type of trips includes vocational or work activities, medical appointments, family visits, and group active treatment activities or outings.
Maintains vehicles at optimal condition. Conducts safety checks of the assigned vehicle before departure including performing a vehicle "walk-around" visual inspection for tire inflation; glass, light, lens, and mirror condition; any visible fluid leaks; and visible body damage. Reports any issues in accordance with local policy and procedures. Performs basic vehicle maintenance such as checking tire pressure., fueling the vehicle and removing all litter when the vehicle is returned from use. Ensures vehicles are scheduled for general maintenance.
Ensures vehicle is parked safely. Before leaving a vehicle whether on- or off-campus, ensures that the transmission gear selector is in the proper position for parking, the parking brake is set, all switches are in the off or locked position, if so equipped, the keys are removed, all occupants have exited the vehicle and the windows are closed, and the doors are locked.
Prepares and maintains records and logs related to vehicle operations. After each trip, documents any vehicle problems and reports the need for minor vehicle maintenance and repairs to the designated person. Accurately completes required paperwork such as updating information on the Monthly Use Report to track and reconcile trip information. Enters and totals the number of trips, passengers, and stops in the correct areas of the form. If the Driver has a specific vehicle(s) assigned. Ensures that the Monthly Use Report is turned into the motor pool or other designated department/person by the third working day of each new month.
Provides guidance and on-the-job training to other drivers, in accordance with experience and competency, in the proper operation of vehicles to transport passengers, proper method to ensure passengers and wheelchairs are secured in the vehicle, the safe operation of lifts to load and unload wheelchairs, and techniques for maintaining an on-time schedule.
Maintains eligibility to operate state vehicles. Complies with state and local traffic laws as evidenced by no citations. Attends and passes required training including Defensive Driver Certification and Van Driver Training courses.
Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.

Registrations, Licensure Requirements or Certifications:
Valid Texas driver's license or ability to obtain it no later than 90 days after hire date. Applicants with an out-of-state driver's license must provide an original certified driving record from the state of driving licensure. Eligible driving record required based on HHSC Fleet Management policy.
Driving record will be assessed annually for continued eligibility.
Must have, or complete upon hire, the HHSC designated Defensive Driving Course and maintain this certification.
Initial Screening Criteria:
Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is generally preferred.
Work experience operating a motor vehicle with multiple passengers or transporting cargo.
Work experience performing vehicle preventative maintenance checks.
Additional Information:
Applicants must pass a fingerprint criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and registry checks including the Client Abuse/Neglect Reporting System (CANRS), Nurse Aide, Medication Aide and Employee Misconduct and HHS List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
All State Supported Living Center employees are subject to Random drug testing.

Starting out driver earn $650.00 per week. This rate is for your first 30 days only.
Once training is completed you'll come home to unwind. Taking 2-5 days off then get moved into your own truck with a huge pay raise from $1200~$1400 on average depending on which position you chose once in your own company truck.
Applicants must be flexible when you first start and be patient to get the run you desire. It can take a few weeks to maybe a month or so to get exactly what you want.
We offer many dedicated, regional and OTR runs. Local runs in the bigger city's.

Drivers that run OTR, over the road runs get you home every 10-14 days for your days off.

This over the road (OTR) Truck Driver position is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of bulk liquid Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) to Flowchems customer locations. The driver will operate
tanker trucks in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards, navigating a variety of road conditions, including congested highways, rural routes, oil lease roads, and industrial sites. The driver plays a critical role in customer service, acting as a direct point of contact during deliveries while upholding Flowchems commitment to safety, reliability, and compliance.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Safely operate tanker trucks to transport Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) to customer locations while adhering to DOT regulations and company safety standards.
Navigate various road conditions, including congested highways, rural routes, oil lease roads, and industrial sites, ensuring efficient and on-time deliveries.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in proper working condition and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, hours of service (HOS), and compliance with transportation regulations.
Ensure timely deliveries by following assigned schedules and maintaining clear communication about route status and any potential delays, communicating other critical information as needed.
Act as a direct point of contact for customers during deliveries, ensuring a professional and service-oriented experience.
Perform routine vehicle inspections, monitor equipment for maintenance needs, and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum Three (3) years commercial driving experience. (The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of commercial driving experience).
Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience operating tanker trucks.
(The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of tanker experience).
Clean driving record
Experience delivering products to industrial, oil & gas, or remote sites preferred. (Oilfield delivery and multi delivery stop experience preferred).
Prior experience following DOT regulations and maintaining compliance with HOS (Hours of Service) requirements.
Experience conducting complete
vehicle inspections and have a basic knowledge of truck maintenance.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL), Class A required.
Must have or able to pass DOT physical to include drug screen and complete physical ability testing
Tanker endorsement required.
Defensive driving or fleet safety training is a plus.
Hazardous Material Cargo endorsement preferred
Physical Requirements
The Truck Driver role requires the ability to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle, often over long distances and varying terrain. Drivers must be able to safely enter and exit the cab multiple times per shift and handle the physical demands of connecting and disconnecting hoses, operating valves, and managing loading and unloading tasks as needed. This includes the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds. The role requires frequent bending, climbing, crouching, and reaching, particularly during vehicle inspections and when securing equipment. Good hand-eye coordination, visual acuity, and hearing are necessary for safe vehicle operation and adherence to all road and safety protocols.
Work Conditions
Work is primarily conducted outdoors and in a mobile environment, with exposure to all weather conditions including rain, heat, cold, and wind. Routes may include heavily congested urban areas, rural roads, and oil lease locations, requiring drivers to navigate changing road conditions safely. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when working at customer and plant sites. Shift schedules may include early mornings, nights, weekends, and occasional overnights, depending on route and customer needs.
