Responsibilities range from participation in initial project set up and buyout, cost spread/estimate familiarity, job quantity tracking, on-site daily activity involvement, concrete material tracking, equipment and manpower productivity tracking, invoice approval, extra work ticket tracking, participation in job cost reporting, project safety compliance, quality control compliance, production analysis/tracking.
This position will require travel to jobsites, 50% travel is likely.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a reliability intern, you will help analyze failures of equipment, develop solutions for recurring equipment difficulties, submit Project Request Forms (PRF's) to implement solutions, and understand equipment maintenance strategies. There will be opportunities to use electrical analysis software to solve coordination issues and run Arc Flash studies for the power system, as well as learning and understanding about how our critical Refinery Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) are applied.
Process Control / Technical Service Engineers can work on a wide array of projects in support of the process control systems installed throughout the refinery and products movements areas. The process control systems in the refinery provide real-time control and data acquisition functions in support of operating the refinery process and electrical equipment. Typical college co-op assignments include the following: troubleshooting system power supply problems, control system programming, hardware and software lifecycle replacement projects, installing and troubleshooting communication networks and monitoring control system performance metrics.

3+ years of hands-on experience in commissioning, field engineering, or systems testing.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, building controls (BAS/BMS), and life safety systems.
Familiarity with ASHRAE commissioning guidelines, NEBB, ACG, LEED, or equivalent industry standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction specifications.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Willingness to travel to project sites and work onsite during key commissioning phases.
Preferred Qualifications:
Commissioning certification (e.g., CxA, CCP, or equivalent).

Project Engineers are responsible for the execution of highly complex jobs, from cradle-to-grave. The following essential job functions are performed as a Project Engineer:
Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in project development of manufacturing plans, schedules, and quality plans
Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports
Review customers purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are met
Complete Inspection Plans in conjunction with Project Planning and in coordination with Project Management
Verify compliance to codes, standards and customer contracts
Performs in process and final inspections on customer ordered projects as necessary
Organize and monitor Corrective Actions, assist to evaluate and determine Root Cause and Corrective Action Plans
Must be able to comply with Safety, 5S, AS9100 and Nadcap Standards and Practices
Develops detailed Production Build Plan packages based upon customer process specifications and engineering drawings
Works directly with the customer and internal technical teams to ensure progress on all stages of project lifecycle
Communicates, consults with, and participates in design and manufacturing support
Helps to develop and release planning and purchases supplies
Maintains heightened awareness of the project schedule for each project as it moves through the value stream in order to meet key project deadlines
Facilitates communication and consultation with Program Management, Operations, QA and HR
Assists Project Managers in the execution of a project plan, including the development of Work Orders, materials procurement and organization, preparation of schedules and budgets, and various other project activities
Behavior: The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS
Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is required
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Must show a proficiency in technical writing through previous experience in producing testing plans, final reports, process instructions, or other equivalent activities
Experience with CATIA and NX CAD software is a plus
Focus, self-motivation and initiative is a must
Exceptional communication and presentation skills through written, verbal, and graphical mediums
Organizational skills to support management of multiple tasks and activities
Experience and interest in problem solving and improving processes
Demonstrated attention to detail
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Salary range for this role is between $80,000 - $145,000 plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
