Successful candidates must have active SECRET clearance and willing and able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
**Responsibilities:**
The selected candidate will be responsible for design, development, modification, and evaluation of complex antennas and front-end modules for receiving signals to include radar and communications prototype development systems. The candidate will be instrumental in the system engineering and advanced research and development associated with designing of products during pre-delivery design, integration, and acceptance. Duties will include technical responsibility for planning and executing technical programs, projects, or phases of projects to include customer interface, requirements development, design reviews, and technical interchanges, and all aspects of prototype/product system design, development, demonstration, and evaluation.
- Analyze, design, develop, and maintain products; assist in commercialization
- Understand current product portfolio to enhance product line and generate creativity in potential new products that service our industry
- Build prototypes, products, and systems for testing; set up and run laboratory simulations
- Troubleshoot electrical issues to help support production areas
- Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, codes, and other tasks involved in product development
- Support engineering design reviews with other engineers, Design Reviews (PDR/CDR), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR)
- Author interface control documents for systems and subsystems
- Create schematics and BOMs for products
- Analyze data to improve current systems and products
- Be part of a team to establish system architecture
- Lead technical execution of electrical engineering principles
- Assist in generation of technical content of white paper for proposal development as required
**Qualifications:**

- BSEE (MSEE desired) and minimum of 5 years of RF antenna design experience
- Experience in Antenna and RF systems design including RF cascade analysis to identify compression points, system gain, sensitivity, and dynamic range
- Experience with analog and digital RF circuits design, fabrication, and assembly
- Experience with Anechoic Chamber operations for obtaining antenna gain measurements
- Experience utilizing lab equipment including Network Analyzers, Signal Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, and custom test equipment
- Knowledge or experience with simulating RF circuits for gain, NF, P1dBm, etc.
- Familiarization with Electromagnetic (RF) propagation and systems
- Experience designing and supporting fabrication and assembling of PCBs containing surface mount and through-hole components
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout

The Electrical Engineer assists the Gulf Coast Electric Cooperative (GCEC) team with the objective of providing safe, reliable power to members at the lowest possible cost. The Electrical Engineer provides the technical skills needed for designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining reliable electric service. This position also assists the Chief Operating Office with long-range planning, designing and commissioning electrical distribution lines, conducting feasibility studies, and general coordination of electrical distribution projects.
Internal Responsibilities - Works collaboratively with GCEC team members, most frequently within the engineering and operations departments, and with representatives from all districts. Individual responsibilities include facilitating the efficient workflow of accurate work orders, system modifications, and associated impacts and or impact studies. Also contributes to the GCEC safety culture with each project or deliverable to ensure compliance with safe work practices for all involved in the planning and execution of system work. This position may have supervisory responsibilities.
External Responsibilities - Supports GCEC efforts with the State of Florida, the Public Safety Commission (PSC), Tyndall Air Force Base, PowerSouth Energy Cooperative, auditors, builders, members, and consultants, as necessary.

Certification/License, etc. - Valid Florida Driver's License or ability to obtain Florida driver's license prior to first day of employment. Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
A. Degree: Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.

B. Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.
