The Test Technician also supports evaluations, repairs of RMA units, and facilitates records of their findings. This position, also referred to as a bench technician, works on the production floor. Responsibilities * Tests electronic components and circuits to locate defects, using oscilloscopes, signal generators, amp meters, and voltmeters and other measurement equipment as required. * Replaces defective components and wiring. * Maintains records of repairs, calibrations, and tests and documents related processes. * Examines and adjusts or repairs finished products, components, or parts. * Repairs mechanical parts, using hand tools and soldering iron. * Works closely with production and equipment operators to ascertain problems with products and equipment before breakdown or cause of breakdown. * Enters information into computer to copy program from one electronic component to another, or to draw, modify, or store schematics. The Field Services Technician's primary responsibilities are to perform field analyses, sample pickup, and collecting environmental samples. The Field Services Technician is expected to follow all health and safety protocols and document all sampling activity as outlined in the company standard operating procedures. This position is required to commute to/from client sites to collect samples, pickup samples, and to deliver them to the laboratory. The Field Services Technician is expected to demonstrate safe defensive driving behavior and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
