PURPOSE
The EHS Engineer Intern supports the EHS Leads and project team in the safe construction of a project. This position assists in EHS documentation to ensure a safe work environment for team members, subcontractors, and visitors.
A successful EHS Engineer Intern will possess a natural curiosity in the construction industry and have an eagerness to build relationships at all levels. Must be dedicated to upholding compliance and standards in ever-changing, fast-paced environment while also navigating broad spectrum of skill levels, seniority, and authority levels. Assists project management team in developing and executing site-specific EHS program and activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in developing, coordinating, and conducting EHS orientation and training programs at the project level
Document, track, and correct or reinforce EHS violations/initiatives, unsafe/safe conditions, unsafe/safe behaviors, etc.
Assist in conducting work area EHS audits
Attends EHS meetings to remain involved in project progress and EHS matters, as appropriate
Help in coordinating OSHA reporting and posting requirements
Accompany EHS, health, owner, insurance, and OSHA personnel on work-site tours
Assist with onsite injury management and case management
Assist with the organization and implementation of project EHS recognition/reward programs
Participate in and contribute to project planning and hazard analysis
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Students actively pursuing a degree in Occupational EHS & Health, Engineering, or a related field.
Interest or curiosity in the construction industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with a diverse organization of employees
Action orientated
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Proficient with MS Office software
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed on an active construction site. Role requires standing or walking for long periods of time. Utilize standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. Communication with internal and external contacts, including speaking and hearing. May occasionally move equipment up to 50 lbs.

Key Areas of Responsibility and Duties:
* Assists in activities and development of procedures in metallurgical lab, assay lab, and process plant.
* Assists in activities in metallurgical lab, assay lab, process plant and heap leach as directed.
* Design and execute various projects related to heap leaching and/or the Zadra strip circuit.

The Assistant Director counsels engineering and computer science students and alumni on career readiness, internship pathways, and professional development. Responsibilities will include:
Develop and document methods to troubleshoot and test various devices including gas analyzers, scales, pressure sensors, flow meters, temperature sensors, particulate meters, scales, and other production critical instrumentation.
Perform instrument verifications and calibrations in production environments to be documented for record keeping and compliance with regulatory requirements and applicable standards where applicable (IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO17025, etc.).

Required Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or its equivalent
Actively pursuing a Construction Management or Engineering degree at an accredited university OR possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience in construction or a related field
Possess strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Can work independently and as part of a team
Adaptable and interested in working on multiple, different assignments

At All 5's, a Project Engineer Intern will be accountable for:
Following All 5's safety policy and ensuring the safety of others.
Understanding the basics of schematic, design, and construction drawings.
Processing Requests for Information (RFI's) with assistance from Superintendents, Project Managers, and Senior Project Engineers.
Participating in updating the project schedule.
Reading and entering data in a submittal log and creating submittal packages.
Assisting in the development of procurement logs and tracking deliveries.
Understanding how to navigate through Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Participating in the administration of project quality plans.
Knowing the basics of MEPFS systems and assisting in the review of shop drawings.

The Opportunity
As the Associate Project Sales Engineer Intern this individual will be responsible for coordinating submittals, equipment selection, pricing and ship dates for each project. Must be detail and customer service oriented and have excellent organizational skills. Position requires a high level of oral and written correspondence with the Sales Team, Customers and Manufacturers to ensure timely completion of assigned projects while maintaining customer satisfaction. Must be able to work well with others in a fast-paced & high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain job files for each project throughout its duration
Optimize the project through the stages of product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, value engineering and redesigns
Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
Communicate with owners, architects, MEP Consultants and General, Mechanical and Electrical Contractors
Organize project related data for order entry
Respond to and track IOM & Submittal requests
Read, understand and interpret building plans & specifications
Develop and grow relationships with customers, contractors, project engineers and manufacturers
Determine project requirements, constraints, and sales team responsibilities to meet all of the customers' system design, installation and maintenance expectations
Investigate concerns, implement corrective action and communicate with customers and co-workers as necessary to maximize customer satisfaction
The Required Profile
Working to obtain a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
Working knowledge of HVAC, estimating, engineering, construction management or contracting environment
Working knowledge of MEP consulting, architecture, design, CAD, general contracting, mechanical contracting, engineering or construction industry a plus
Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
