Duration: 6-Month Contract
The CAE Analyst II (Multi-Body Dynamics - MBD) will perform advanced multi-body dynamic simulations to solve real-world engineering problems across the automotive, aerospace, entertainment, and industrial sectors. This role involves building dynamic models, running simulations, analyzing results, and presenting findings to internal customers.
Key Responsibilities
Build multi-body dynamics (MBD) models using commercial CAE tools such as MSC ADAMS
Run simulations to convergence, post-process results, and perform engineering analysis
Generate detailed technical reports and support customer presentations
Develop Python scripts to automate workflows and improve efficiency
Quickly learn and apply new CAE tools and methodologies
Manage analysis files per company data-retention policies
Collaborate with cross-functional CAE teams to improve predictive accuracy and reduce development cycles
Independently execute projects, including direct customer communication
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting quality and schedule requirements
Support new technology and process development initiatives
Required Education & Experience
BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
(Coursework in Kinematics, Dynamics, Vibrations, Numerical Methods required)
Strong background in kinematics and dynamics modeling
1-3 years of multi-body dynamics (MBD) modeling experience

About the Team:
The Production Mapping Software Team plays a pivotal role in the software development of mapping solutions to support AV/ADAS at General Motors. This team is responsible for delivering integrated and tested software for various GM features, including Super Cruise and Adaptive Cruise Control.
About The Role:
In this role, you will be asked to support team objectives by deploying machine learning models and algorithms using cloud compute resources and applying advanced data analytics to tackle complex problems for the Map Enhancements team. Areas of focus may include developing algorithms, writing software scripts, or performing analytics using vehicle data.
What You'll Do:
Build and deploy models and algorithms using Databricks
Develop scripts to manage data workflows using Python or PySpark
Analyze large datasets to discover trends and patterns
Present complex information using data visualization techniques

Required Qualification:
Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program and in the process of obtaining a PhD in computer science or a related field.

Compensation:
The monthly salary range for this role is $11,100 - $11,400 per month
