Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications for the title for which they apply. At this time, agencies may recruit and hire employees by making temporary appointments. At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment), it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. While serving permanently in a NY HELPS title, employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified.     Job DescriptionDescription: RK Pharma Inc, a vertically integrated pharmaceutical company with our main manufacturing site in Pearl River, NY, is seeking an Engineering Associate to work with our growing Engineering and Manufacturing Teams as we scale towards commercial manufacturing in the next upcoming months. As a company focused on the development, manufacturing and sale of high quality and affordable generic pharmaceutical products worldwide we are looking for sharp, driven, self-directed individuals to help us grow our mid-stage start-up team. This position is located in Pearl River, NY and is required to be onsite. Requirements: If this sounds interesting to you, it's probably because up to this point you have: High school diploma or GED required; Engineering degree or trade school degree preferred. 2-4 years of engineering and maintenance experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or regulated environment. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment. Familiarity with cGMP, GDP, and standards a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP or document management systems (e.g., SAP, Master Control). Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills. The main responsibilities for this position are: Responsible for maintaining Electrical Systems (Panels, MCCs, Distribution Panels, etc.), water systems (soft water, RO, WFI and Clean Steam), HVAC system (AHUs, chillers, Heat exchangers) Responsible for daily walk throughs and make sure all Equipment's and utilities are working well Coordinate with Technicians and Electricians to complete assigned PM, troubleshooting jobs in timely manner Assist Engineering team in Temperature Mapping of the stability chambers.
