What You Will Do:
* Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers

* Engineering interns in Gas Power experience technically challenging assignments in the power generation industry focusing on areas such as of Systems, Analysis, Design, Quality, Reliability, Digital, and Integration & Test.
* Perform design and analysis of product lines in areas such as steam turbine, gas turbines, gas engines and generators
Responsibilities include: Develop and implement new design concepts and design improvements. You may work with the drafting team to create or update the drawings, and partner with the manufacturing team to solve problems that arise out of the complex manufacturing processes required to make these parts.

The pay for this position ranges from $21.00/hr - $34.00/hr based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed
This position is also eligible for:
* Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
* Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern's permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

SPECIAL SKILLS:
Proficiency in Python programming, with a focus on data analysis, modeling, and tool development.
Basic knowledge of GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and Python GIS libraries (e.g., GeoPandas, Folium) is beneficial.
Experience with hydraulics and hydrology modeling tools (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS) is preferred, but not required.
Strong mathematical skills to perform calculations related to hydraulic and hydrologic models, with a willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
Excellent communication skills, both in-person and in writing, are essential for collaborating with team members and presenting technical information.

As a Summer Intern, you can expect your experience to include the following:
* Collaborate closely with people managers, project managers, engineers, scientists, and multidisciplinary teams to support projects in water, wastewater, drinking water, environmental engineering, design, sustainability, climate mitigation, and more.
* Assist in the preparation of technical deliverables including but not limited to calculations, reports, drawings, specifications, and memoranda.
* Potential to participate in field work and site visits to support project design, construction, and data collection activities.
* Perform data entry, analysis, and visualization to support engineering and scientific evaluations.
* Ensure quality and accuracy by adhering to Brown and Caldwell's QA/QC processes and standards.
* Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients to coordinate project tasks and deliverables.
* Support engineering services during construction by reviewing submittals, conducting inspections, and verifying conformance with plans and specifications.
