In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the future of our Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line through the coordination and implementation of a wide range of environmental solutions and projects.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications
Interpretation/evaluation of environmental regulations
Data compilation, reduction, and interpretation
Management of clients
Development of business opportunities
Mentorship of staff
What you will bring to the Team
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field
10+ years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental remediation and site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients
Project experience with CERCLA is beneficial
Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment is required
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
Ability work in a fast-paced environment
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus

The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for analysis, design, implementation and management of existing and new environmental programs, regulations and legislation to provide environmental support for business units in a proactive, cost-effective manner that is consistent with NiSource policy and business objectives. Responsibilities encompass a wide-range of environmental program areas including, but not limited to, air, water, natural resource and waste management in accordance with local, state and federal requirements. Responsibilities also include activities related to enhancing and maintaining the NiSource Environmental Management System including analyzing and managing data to direct and cause continuous improvement related to environmental performance and to enhance and maintain a process to track, monitor, communicate and minimize environmental related risk. * Performs interim and restorative maintenance to hard floor, carpets and upholstery according to procedures.
* Assembles, maintains and stores equipment/supplies that are necessary to complete tasks according to department standards.
* Communicates and collaborates with other members of the team to ensure continuity and coordination of services. Reports general maintenance and specialized cleaning requirements in work area.
* Assists visitors and employees in navigating through the hospital to reach their destination.
* Fully functioning within one cleaning area.
* May be expected to work across department sites for coverage and business need.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Public service and or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial experience.
